Good food, but our server definitely made the experience great. Would come back just for that :)

Went Feb 15, unfortunately had new server so the experience didn't flow the best

Food was quite good and steak was cooked perfectly. Atmosphere was quiet but a bit dark as it was hard to read the menu. Biggest disappointment was the service as we sat looking for our waitresses for 30 min and then was told she forgot about us and supposedly had someone else take our table that never came. This was frustrating as it was on Valentine’s Day and we had plans after that where at a set time. For the price of the meal I would have expected better service and at least an apology.

Delicious dinner! All three of us had the 5oz filet mignon, and we all agreed it was one of the best steaks we’d ever had. Perfectly done and well seasoned. We had the shareable Bleu cheese risotto and Brussels sprouts for our sides, easily enough for three people. Cocktails and wine were also delicious, and the prices were what you would expect for a meal of this caliber. We will be back!

We were very, very lucky and blessed to have Sara as our waitress — and also the boss of the operation that evening. Sara was so cordial that we immediately suspected we would have a grrreat meal and an overall good experience— and we did. We are admittedly food snobs to a degree, or more accurately, experience snobs, and so we want and expect — and hope for — grrreat dining experiences. Rarely do they happen. Largely because of Sara, our experience at Wissota did not disappoint, and was worth venturing out on a below-zero evening in February in Northern Wisconsin. Best: the presentation of bread, salt, and big slab of butter!!

We were celebrating hubby's birthday so a special meal was in order. Had the the Calamari as an appetizer and was kind of disappointed. The calamari itself was slightly overcooked, just a tad rubbery, perfectly cooked calamari is tender, no rubberyness but this is Wisconsin, oh well, The dish was lacking any zing. It was supposed to have a garlic lemon broth and it just lacked flavor. We had to ask for salt and additional lemon to brighten the flavor. We told the waitress when asked and they did apologize and thanked us for the feedback. After that everything else was quite good! I had the french onion soup which was delicious and flavorful. Hubby had the mixed salad which was loaded with berries and nuts and was quite large. For our entrees, I had originally ordered Scallops but was later told they were out and settled for the prawns, The prawns came out in a bowl swimming in a lemony buttery broth and were delicious. Hubby got the rib eye and didn't get any special preparation, which he initially regretted because he said it just tasted like meat, with no real seasoning but then he said it was really delicious, so much flavor to the meat, nice and tender and juicy. He was very satisfied with it. We had the roasted brussell sprouts as a side and they were done very well with melted parm on top. we had leftovers. Super meal. And to top it off, they offered a birthdate desert! He had the Raspberry Tiramisu which he said was outstanding! I had a bite but not being a raspberry fan, couldnt give a fare assessment. So there you have it! Excellent dinner and outstanding desert! would eat here again! Oh, and they were training new staff but I never would have guessed as everyone we had was just as professional and attentive as any waitstaff I've ever had!

The atmosphere was lovely and the food was wonderful. There was a delay with our server but they made up for it. We could have a conversation & not feel like we were competing with the next table or anything in the background. Seems a little pricey for the Duluth/Superior area but we will return again.

Food was good, service was a little slow but it was also NYE so we weren’t mad or upset the staff was amazing and friendly!

We spent our New Year’s holiday dinner at the Wissota Chophouse. The staff was engaging, humorous and so fun to interact with making our dining experience so enjoyable a 10 out of 10 to the staff, will definitely go back again hopefully soon. The ribeye steaks and airline chicken were phenomenal, although you may want to re-think about changing the description of the airline chicken sounds too much like airline food. Maybe Mumbai curry chicken may have a better ring to it! Cheers to You staff of Wissota Chophouse!!! 10/10
