                                                          10/10 !! Stumbled upon this hole in the wall restaurant last min on Valentine’s Day. Hubby and I absolutely loved it. Food was amazingly delicious! Cocktails were tasty! The service was great and attentive. Definitely will be coming back.

                                                          Food was good, staff were great, but our waiter was bad. I think he came to our table twice. When you pay a certain price, you expect a certain service.

                                                          Oh so sorry to report that this place has gone downhill from my 4 past great experiences. Staff was still friendly and accommodating (in fact, we've had the same waiter the past 3 times), but the food and wine. Wine they were serving had turned and was on the verge of vinegar. And two of the four entrees were swimming in some sort of watery pesto, salmon was served cold (not even room temperature) and pork chop was overcooked. Doubtful I'll be able to get my friends back again.

                                                          I'm not familiar with Westwood so I googled "best restaurants near UCLA" and this place did not disappoint. It was our first time and it was wonderful. Great atmosphere and great food. Staff was excellent.

                                                          The menu is all over the place and the food itself if just fine. This is not a kid friendly place at all either.

                                                          Our server was very good, and some of the food tasted good as well, especially the Brussels sprouts and the truffle fries. The noise level is a bit high, especially as the music is thumping rap and disco, which doesn't match the rest of the ambience. The real problems are with some of the food we had and the prices. In particular, we had the schwarma, which was lukewarm, and very overpriced. $24 for two little wraps? Worse was the Bolognese, which was bad at any price. In fact, it was the worst Bolognese I've ever had. It was more like a tomato cream sauce than a meat ragout, which it what it's supposed to be. I took one bite and sent it back. Somebody needs to fix that.

                                                          We told the waiter we needed to be out of there to make an 8pm theater time and some of the mains were brought at 7:40. Unfortunate that they cost &35 and we only got to eat 3 bites

                                                          Found this excellent location choice in Westwood where we haven't explored in a couple years. We found Wolfsen for the New American cuisine and pretty good rating. The place was pretty full and quite a few private holiday events happening but we were seated right away. The server began very strong with a welcoming attitude and helpful menu's suggestions. We ordered a sashimi appetizer and a grilled fish main course, my wife ordered an heirloom tomato salad with buratta as a main course. The starter was their salmon sashimi wrapping a crab and vegetable inside fill topped with a light green curry sauce. Very tasty. Unfortunate moment we began the appetizer, the heirloom salad and my main course showed up. The servers were clueless and our waiter very busy with too many other tables. Long story short, the meal ended up delicious and the manager Issac came over to apologize. He was very nice and offered us a drink on the house. Sharing that Wolfsen is already two years old, they're finding their clientel and going strong. With all respect my recommendation is that the restaurant needs to tighten un their training for wait staff and kitchen operations. We will give Wolfsen another go soon and see if they have improved.

                                                          Food was good; individual servers were nice, but not enough. Service was extremely slow and salad came before appetizers. Others around us had similar experiences.
