   Had a wonderful dinner at Xiquita this week. Everything was fresh and flavorful and very creative. Especially enjoyed the ceviche and the carrots. Shout out to Kyle for wonderful service. And, how about these desserts!

   The service was attentive without being looming and the food was very good. We had an early reservation so the background noise level did not interfere with conversation. We will be back to try more of the tasty offerings!

   📍 Authentic ancestral Mexican 🌵 XIQUITA in uptown, Denver, CO Great value happy hour 4-6, the chef Ras was super personable and guided us through some of the dishes his mom taught him while growing up. Keep your roots grounded and use what the earth provides The ceviche has a nice coconut milk base, hearty pieces of fish, and a tortilla chip with a great CRUNCH The Al pastor taco was meaty and paired well with pineapple 🍍 Our favorite sauce was the rosemary and garlic sauce served with the carne asada steak Finished with a corn cake with the best white chocolate blue corn ice cream Try the mezcal cocktails too - very well balanced! Liz was a server - she did amazing! And the MoD was Alexander - also runs their bar program for all of their restaurants

   From reading other reviews I think we had a one off experience, but our service was really poor (maybe a new waiter who was just starting out?) our water glasses were never refilled without us asking & when we asked for recommendations for dishes that weren't spicy she recommended an entree that was the spiciest dish we ever tasted. It then took a long time to flag her down for a check and when she cleared the (barely toucched) dish she asked if we enjoyed it and when we said it was too spicy for us her response was "well you got through it." Our other three dishes were good, but nothing impressive. I had high expectations since I love their sister restaurant, Lucina Eatery, but was very dissapointed with Xiquita.

   Everything was spot on. We enjoyed a delicious and delightful birthday dinner at Xiquita. Our waiter made it an exceptional night out.

   Food and cocktails were outstanding. Some dishes were a bit too hot. Will definitely return. Tiffany was great.

   Everything about our experience at Xiquita was phenomenal. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The service was impeccable & friendly, including a visit from the owner. I can’t wait to go back!!

    Fantastic all around. They launched their new happy hour Xiquita Taquiera today and we literally ordered one of everything and then seconds of almost everything as well . So delicious. Fantastic drinks incredible service and gorgeous space
