Using traditional Hakata Yakitori cooking techniques passed down through generations, our skilled chefs grill Hawaii's natural ingredients to perfection. We are committed to sourcing the very finest ingredients from Hawaii's many talented farmers, fisherman, and purveyors. A wide range of beer, wine, nihonshu (sake), shochu, chuhai and highballs are available to complement our Yakitori.

PRECAUTIONS
We directly contact all diners to confirm reservations. Please be sure your OpenTable Profile telephone number and e-mail are up-to-date. Our dining time window is 1.45 hours per reservation (which begins at the time of the reservation and not the time of arrival).

Excellent surprise on Hotel Street. We usually default to FETE before a Hawaii Theatre show but Hachibei is now our go to. Food was quite excellent. Definitely worth going to.

No chicken organs （gizzard，liver，heart，etc）any more. Compared to my first visit two years ago，it lost a lot of flavor.

Amazing yakitori experience in Hawaii. The only yakitori restaurant in Hawaii we’re aware of that uses imported binchotan charcoal to grill its food. Food, flavor and atmosphere is great! It is pricier than it would be in Japan, but cheaper than flying to Japan just for a few skewers. 😂 100% worth it, and the karaage corn was amazing!

We went for the Restaurant Week special and it was all good. The last chicken dish was a little bit too salty for our table but other than that everything was great! Nice ending with the sesame dessert!

Visited during restaurant week Nov 2024 and got the $50 pre-fixe omakase menu with some additional skewers. The omakase menu is normally $80 so it was such a great value (the restaurant week menu had slightly less items). We sat at the counter and it was great to be able to see the chefs at work! Loved the smoky smell in the air and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Favorites of the night were the sukiyaki skewers, beef tongue skewers and the salmon, ikura, uni don. This was our third or fourth time back to this restaurant, but it had been about 3-4 years since our last visit. We had a great date night and will definitely be back!
