Overall, food was good and service was just alright. Only giving a subpar rating due to service. Arrived 15 mins earlier than reservation time but was told to come back on time instead (understandable due to the crowd). Felt rushed to leave as we could be visibly seen to be finishing up our meal and drinks but was asked if we are done with everything so that they can clear the food. Waitress had came by several times to check on our bill despite knowing that we were still going with the food and drinks. I understand that they are busy but this not the way to treat any customer especially when I’ve got a booking for 2 hours. Most of our time spent was on waiting for food instead of eating so I don’t see the point in rushing customers. This may not be the case for other customers but this was just purely based on our experience. Food was still pretty good, it was just the service we received that was pretty terrible.

It was my first time at Yakitori Yurripi and I was amazed by how authentic and delicious the food was. We particularly enjoyed the Miso Cod and Pork Belly - both were sensational! Service was quick and friendly, and the ambience reminds me of an izakaya straight out of Japan. The only thing was that we felt 1.5 hours was a bit short for a booking, however the food is great and we will definitely be back.

To be honest, I found the experience too commercial and lacking in personal touch. The food was decent, but overpriced. Instead of feeling relaxed, I felt rushed and stressed during the meal. It was as if I was being encouraged to finish quickly, which defeated the purpose of enjoying my food. It's a shame, really. Needless to say, I won't be returning to dine there again

We are happy for the dinner, but one thing I want to let you know is one of the chicken wings was not cooked entirely so I saw a bit blood and raw meat, so I couldn't eat it partially. The other thing I hope is that if some of the napkins were served or ready to use, that would be better convenient for customers.

Cosy little place and at the same time busy. Love the food. Everything was delicious. We had the pork belly, chicken thigh, chicken liver, miso cod, king mushroom, and most especially the Wagyu short rib. I will highly recommend to friends. Don’t forget to order the burdock chips.

This is the best Yakitori I’ve had in Australia so far! It’s the closest you can get to an authentic Japanese experience and flavor here

The experience which allows only 60 min sitting felt a bit rushed. We were asked to place our final order at 30 min as it is the restaurant’s policy to ask for final order 30 min before the end of the sitting. The charcoal flavour was strong - which the kids didn’t enjoy. But overall an authentic yakitori drinking spot.

Then bench seat on Friday only guarantee you 90mins seating. But the experience is genuinely worth it.
