Yates’s Manchester is in the city centre, between China town and the infamous and lively Canal Street’s gay village, just five minutes’ walk from Piccadilly train station and directly in front of the National Express coach station.
It is very much a chameleon-style venue which operates in all situations, offering unrivalled sports viewing and fantastic food. Being one of Manchester’s première night spots in the heart of city, just ask any taxi driver where a great night out is to be found or where to meet up with friends – and he/she will always say: “Yates – everybody knows where it is and it is by far the best bar in town.” (Taxi drivers never lie – FACT.)
It was pretty busy in Manchester due to the Gay fest so to be honest most places were struggling to cope. I had pre-booked a table but as they don’t take orders for food at the table I had to wait in line for a while and in the meantime someone tried to take my seat / table. That got sorted but after over an hour of waiting for my food the waitress told me that it was down for a different table number and she couldn’t find me. Luckily they had asked an experienced guy to come and help with serving etc - he was great. Came round with bottles of beer to sell, sorted my food order etc (sorry didn’t get his name). The food was very average but the company and watching the sport passed the time. Would I go again - not sure unless I was with a group of mates.

Very good service welcomed by the door staff and shown to our seats. Drinks were spot on. Thank you for a great night.
