Ysidora pays homage to the Mission's matriarch Ysidora Forster, and invites guests to relax, unwind and indulge in authentic Spanish flavors in a contemporary setting. Enjoy wood fired grilled seafood, hot and cold tapas, local meats and seasonal, locally sourced produce. San Juan Capistrano's moderate climate mimics that of Spain's, making for a perfect match of culinary offerings. The bar offers Spanish wines and Spanish influenced cocktails that honor Spain's olives and legendary gin and tonics.

Parking is Valet only available at main hotel entrance. $15 for first 2 hours with validation, $5 per hour for each subsequent hour. Please call us with any questions.

    I recently visited this restaurant for Valentines and had a mixed experience. The service was excellent; the staff were friendly, attentive, they explained the menu options and they made me feel very welcome. The inside/ outside of the restaurant was very beautiful as well. However, the food was just okay. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't meet my expectations either. Overall, it was an alright experience wish the food quality was a little better.

    The restaurant venue itself is nice and has good charm. We went for valentines day so the menu was set, however still the staff did not seem like they knew what each dish was. None of the menu items were particularly good and things such as the shrimp on an entree were served cold. The water for the table was warm and had to ask for ice which felt like a bother. The signature cocktail of the night was pretty much undrinkable. We got one sip each and returned it. I will say that the wait staff, although young, were making a valiant effort, but it would appear that the management simply had not prepared them enough across the board. Even when asking for a wine pairing with the entree (keeping in mind there are only 3 entree choices), they had no idea what to recommend and even acknowledged that multiple items in the drink menu were not options anymore. Considering the location and quality of the venue, this restaurant is missing the mark on service, food quality and menu. Management has to step their game up.

    We went on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. Despite this, the restaurant did not seem staffed and equipped to handle our dinner service. The service was incredibly slow throughout the entire meal, and inadequate. Our mains were brought out at varying times (over ten minutes between the first main and the last main arriving) and our dirty appetizer plates stayed on the table the entire time and weren't cleared until we were done with our mains. Given the prices of the food, this service was not sufficient. The price is not justified in the experience you have.

    Food was mediocre.. however our server Jeff made up for the mediocre food. He was very accommodating and pleasant, felt like we were well taken care of. Wouldn’t come back for the food necessarily, but the ambiance, especially in the evening was great! I’ll be back for drinks!

    Our server was the best. I wish I could remember his name but he was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestion’s. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner.

    Really great dinner. Jeffery (server) was top notch. Almost concierge in his approach to the menu. The pork belly appetizer was a show stopper and the drink menu had a great ratio of value/reasonably priced.

    Stopped in after work with a coworker! Really loved our experience! Service and ambiance was amazing, shout out to Cole! Try the bacon steak, you won’t regret it! I will be dreaming of the adobo sauce that was on it!

    Food was excellent as was the service with Jeff. Started with the ranch salad which was perfect. Nice size and a bit different. Moved on to the short ribs and they were also perfect. No fat or grizzle. Churros for desert made the perfect ending to the meal. Not something you can get anywhere. A bit noisy due to the C&W dancing outside. But it was fun to watch.
