Yves Restaurant was inspired by Smith & Mills owners adoration of the small and highly personalized owner-operated neighborhood Café culture in Paris (Montmartre) and North Africa, Morocco. Yves occupies a two hundred year old former Seafarers Inn, across from the main downtown Hudson River entrance. The restaurant is washed in a minimalist design aesthetic in the heart of picturesque Tribeca. The photographic artwork is inspired by the marriage of fashion, design, community and people. The menu exudes clean and modern French fare sprinkled with a Moroccan influence. Although refined, the dishes are comforting, approachable and familiar. Our culinary team’s approach is simple sophistication balanced with a side of whimsy and fun.
Yves has been labeled the best view to water and people watching in Tribeca. The 46 seat (interior seating) is made much larger feeling by the 80 plus outdoor seats (weather permitting) on the corner of N Moore st with the Hudson River in the backdrop.

                                                          Would have been appreciated if the price fix menu was disclosed when making reservations. Only 4 main courses to choose from and granted it’s Valentine’s Day, but you should state what the menu will be. For the price point, a glass of wine should have been included.

                                                          Brunch. Charcuterie platter was small for 32.00. Fries are superb. Egg dishes were excellent. Chicken schnitzel was very dry Could not eat it. Service was very good. M I sick very loud even when we asked to turn it down.

                                                          Made a reservation a week in advance and confirmed the reservation but arrived and the restaurant was totally closed (Google said it was open) :(

                                                          Our reservation was canceled without explanation less than two hours before our time. Although I understand issues arise, it would be very helpful if management is more forthright and punctual with notifying in future — in order for the customers to arrange different plans.

                                                          WHen Yves opened several years ago, it was terrific. It is just fair now -- the hamburger (I asked for no cheese) had the remnants of cheese on it which they sloppily scraped off the burger and bun. The bun was soggy. The burger was salty. The fries were good, better than at most places, but again, they used to be better. They were also served barely warm instead of hot. The nicoise salad that my friend ordered was stingy in terms of the tuna. The chocolate tart was good, and the serving was generous. It is very noisy. They play the music so loudly that you can't hear the conversation at your own table.
