Picked this restaurant for a special occasion as the website and Instagram looked fantastic, however ended up feeling like we got cat fished. Overall pretty disappointed.
From the start we were really keen to enjoy some Focaccia with some other sides however were told they don’t have any focaccia which was strange as we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. 730pm on a Friday night.
Burrata on the website came dressed with cherry tomatoes, when we ordered ours it came with a cold red tomato sauce and cold bowl as if it was taken straight out of the fridge, flavour was pretty bland, no dressing either.
$16 for the grilled corn, it honestly looked like they had just used one corn cob, sliced into a few pieces and then presented in a small stack.
The empanadas tasted like an over cooked dry biscuit, mentioned m handcrafted on the menu so I was assuming made fresh in house but tasted like pre-made/frozen then microwaved.
Ordered the Grilled broccolini as a side for mains, most restaurants serve in a nice stack, instead we received 4-5 thin stems on a plate, like come on it’s broccolini give a nice handful.
$48 for a small 220g steak, perfectly cooked however tasted like it hadn’t been salted. $38 for the fish, extremely thin piece, 3 bites and it was finished.
We ordered 7-8 dishes, If you’re going to charge high prices on small servings and play the fine dining card you should at least also have proper cloth napkins , instead of tiny Thai restaurant napkins.
Worked in the food industry for years and in my experience all it takes is for a business to be super tight with food servings and you lose repeat business.
Hopefully it was just a one off for us and others have not and do have the experience we did. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful but in honesty, save the time and money and dine somewhere else.
