Alfresco or indoor dining offers a sophisticated tropical dining experience, an elegant venue for a romantic dinner or casual catch up with friends. The menu presents fine, contemporary Australian cuisine with a hint of French & Italian flare, utilizing the abundance of fresh local seafood, through to locally grown tropical fruit & vegetables.

With an excellent wine list of over 100 wines, combined with a cocktail & beverage menu which includes 8 beers on tap and some outstanding new age cocktails, there’s something for everyone.

My husband and I had another perfect dining experience at Zinc last night. I must comment too on the professionalism of the wait staff. They are so friendly and welcoming and always elegantly attired. As I have commented on previous visits. It is our very favourite Port Douglas restaurant.

The food was not great. Meat was dry and pasta was average. Service was excellent! Our waitress was amazing. We advised the waitress the meal was dry and the value was refunded. Location is nice but overall very overpriced and not a lot of choice of options.

We travel to Port Douglas twice a year and since discovering Zinc it has become our very favourite restaurant up here. We cannot fault it. The food is always excellent. Lovely setting with great ambience. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Attentive without hovering over you. My husband is an ex chef and he rates it as the best restaurant in Port Douglas! Always an amazing dining experience.

Zinc is a very easy place to visit. Lots of open areas, (covered against tropical rain!) and good space between tables. We have visited many times on our trips north and have always enjoyed good service and great food.

We sat at an indoor table with a view of the passing tourists walking by. It is a pretty dining space but the food was the star. The scallops appetizer and baramundi entree were excellent. There is good selection of wines at various price points.

The menu on the website was not reflective of the on site menu. The food was bland and not memorable. Service lackluster

Nice and clean, good service. Most mains are served without sides, so you have to spend more. Lamb ragu is mostly pasta.

Having eaten the roast cauliflower dish, features in the Port Douglas magazine. It was one of the best dishes I’ve eaten in a long time. We decided on our last night to return to have it again. The dish arrived and was raw, it was returned to the kitchen and another prepared. The second one was also uncooked and raw. The way this was handled by the staff was more than disappointing.
