Zinicola is located in Ballantyne Village across from Ballantyne hotel. Stop by and enjoy our modern Italian food by Chef and owner Richard Cranmer.
We make our pastas from scratch, just like my Nonna.

Our menu changes seasonally

Zinicola also has a full bar, great wine and cocktail list. Located in front of the restaurant, a new patio with its own bar lends more seating.

This was our second time here. The first time was so good that we wanted to bring our whole family. Unfortunately the service was almost non existent. Water glasses only filled once, meaning that 4/6 did not have anything to drink during their meal. Appetizer plates with mussel shells were left on table the whole time and even during dinner. Complimentary bread arrived at same time as food. The food itself was stilll good and I would consider going again. But disappointed in overall experience.

The bartender Victor was friendly and prompt. He made excellent lemon drop martinis. The bread was baked in a pizza oven and served with dipping oil and was amazing. I had delicious mushroom risotto topped with chicken. I’ll definitely go back!

We have loved dining at Zinicola over the years, but the last two times have been disappointing. Last night, our Caesar salad was not fresh. The lettuce was limp and some of it was brown. (It seemed as though it had been made ahead of time.)The bus boy seemed very anxious to take the bread away. We hadn’t even received our salads when he asked if we were done with it. I had the bolognese, which was fine and my husband had the scallops, which again, were fine. I used to see the chef standing in the kitchen, but haven’t for quite some time. Is he still there or has he left? Anyway, we won’t be going back for a long time, I’m sorry to say.

Everything was great. The food was very good. Service friendly and efficient. If there was any hiccup it was that my dish was served to me at too high of a temperature. It cooled down and was delicious
