Zitz Sum is a 30 seat seasonal restaurant located inside of an historic building in Coral Gables, Florida. Our story, is a story of resilience, passion & commitment, that is translated in a plate of food, excellent service and unapologetic gracious hospitality. Our current menu is an autobiographical journey reflecting Chef’s experiences and our affinity for Japanese ingredients and technique.

We currently offer A la carte menu that changes with the seasons, and a Seven Course Tasting Menu that changes weekly. Our tasting menu consists of playful snacks and bites to get the night going, and an array of our signature and favorite current dishes. Part of the tasting menu is presented in a family style format conducive for sharing and celebrating.

Zitz Sum is recipient of a 2022, 2023 & 2024 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Award, a 2022 James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and a New York Times 2022 Best 50 Restaurants in America.

Do yourself a favor and make this excellent restaurant a regular. Their seasonally changing menu will fall into a dream sequence for you, prompting you to return way too soon.

Absolutely terrific - the inventive and delicious food (I enjoyed the tasting), the friendly and attentive service. I’ve eaten at many a Michelin starred establishment and this one definitely could hold its own with many of them. Kudos to the whole team!

Amazing food ruined only by the front of house’s insistence on cranking music up so loud that not only can you not talk but you can no longer taste. If I’m the chef or the owner - maybe rethink the “ambiance” level as I almost needed and ambulance to get me out at the end. Would have stayed for dessert but couldn’t take. It any more. New cabbage dish is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

Food started really well. Unfortunately our rib eye was served cold and when asked to change they seem to have reheat it for 5 seconds and served back with bad attitude. Very disappointed with our experience.

The food is phenomenal but be prepared for some incredibly small portions. The Bass was $32 and approximately 2 bites. I am not exaggerating. The tuna was amazing, the pork dumplings were absolutely delicious. The service was top notch. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
