They were in over their heads. Having made a reservation several weeks ahead of time, we arrived to RA a few minutes early for our 6 pm reservation. The restaurant was packed for this Friday, St. Valentine's Day evening, our anniversary. We were seated after a few minutes, the drinks arranged, and our orders taken. Then nothing, for an hour and a half. The staff was apologetic but nothing could overcome the obvious chaos in the kitchen. As all previous estimates from the kitchen had passed unfilled, we left and got takeout at KFC.
It is clear that something had gone wrong. No evil intent, but something had gone wrong.
