Rick's Cafe Boatyard is a waterfront restaurant offering its guests a panoramic view of Eagle Creek Reservoir in Indianapolis. Rick's offers ample but intimate seating both inside and out; as well as an extensive menu of fresh hand prepared meals offered daily. Rick's Cafe Boatyard offers it's guests lunch, dinner and a complete banquet facility. This was Thanksgiving dinner for us. Rick's was packed to the rafters , and they even brought in heaters to put their decks to use. Even so, they added Thanksgiving fare to their Full regular fare, seafood at the core. Massive adds to staff to rise to the occasion. My wife and I went traditional, but virtually everyone was served within half an hour. All was good with the sole exception of being a few items being oversalted. Last few bites still hot!I I've been a fairly regular patron over a lot of twars, never disappointed , but this was over the top!!

Glad the restaurant was busy, but as a result felt people were on top of each other at tables. Enjoyed the food.

The staff definitely made this experience wonderful. They were all working so hard on Thanksgiving Day, but everyone was so pleasant and upbeat. Service was truly outstanding. Food was delicious. We were seated in the covered porch area, and the overhead heating was a little uneven (half the table was toasty, half chilly) but that wasn't even too bad. Definitely recommend.

We went for Thanksgiving, and the food was definitely not up to the standards we love from Rick's! The gravy was so salty. The turkey tasted processed and dry, not fresh turkey. The green beans had a slimey texture with whatever sauce was on them. It was definitely disappointing.

Two in our party had the traditional Thanksgiving plates and the other person ordered off the menu. We all commented that the 'traditional' plates were so much better than the other restaurants which take the time to re-stock a buffet line. Individual plates of the 'traditional' foods are definitely more sanitary than following others standing in line, especially if the restaurant staff need to re-stock the food items. A bonus with offering the full menu was a welcome additional surprise! Rick's is well known for an excellent choice on the west side of Indy.

We had Thanksgiving at Rick’s. It was lovely and delicious. Impressive they had such a nice traditional turkey meal but still offered the full menu. My daughter was thrilled with her fettuccini and no turkey. Great staff and decorations.

Great ambience! Servers friendly! Food was delicious. I ate the In bone pork chops with white rice & black Cuban beans. Pork chops were thick well-cooked, tender, great flavored seasoning with a hint of spice. I highly recommend this plate combination.
