Home of the Wet Woody ® and storybook sunsets, Riva Grill is Tahoe South’s premier lake front restaurant located in the Ski Run Marina. The 3,000 square foot deck overlooking Lake Tahoe comfortably seats 200 guests and is a dining experience that is second to none. Floor to ceiling windows in the two-story restaurant provide an equally epic view of the Sierras and Lake. Since 1998, visitors and locals alike have flocked to Riva for the best food and service in town. Try the bacon-wrapped filet and scampi with Point Reyes Bleu Cheese butter, the renown grilled or blackened fish tacos with apple-jicama slaw and micro cilantro or any of their home made wood fired pizzas, to name just a few. Additionally, a visit to Riva Grill would not be complete without trying their world famous Wet Woody ® signature cocktail. The rum and fruit juice blended drink will leave you with cold hands and a warm heart and certainly wanting one more.

Parking details
There is always plenty of parking available at Riva Grill. Complimentary valet parking is provided, lunch and dinner, seven days a week during the summer season. Additional parking is accessible in the lot adjacent to Riva Grill where the first 90 minutes of parking is complimentary.
Public transit
Riva Grill is centrally located in South Lake Tahoe where Ski Run Blvd. meets Lake Tahoe. We are one mile west of the Heavenly Gondola; on the south side of highway 50, and a quick ride by taxi cab, Blue Go transit or bicycle. Many folks choose to walk here on warm summer evenings and return by taxi. Plenty of bicycle and kayak parking available.

My chicken was cold the mash potatoes were not seasoned and the corn on the cob had little to no corn on it. Garlic bread was cold as well so was the marinara sauce. Overall food expectation did not meet the hig expectation as other ratings.

Jorge was a great server. My husband had the filet and scampi and loved it. I had the wedge salad, which had a little too much onion but was delicious. I also had the lobster and shrimp bisque and it was probably some of the bisque I’ve ever had. The wet woody drink lives up to its reputation and the pomegranate martini was also excellent.

The place was freezing cold. The restaurant is so retro and in needs of a severe facelift. The food was good and the waitress lovely. The receptionist however was as charming as a correctional officer. I would not come back again.

Venue and location were very good. Very good scenery. The food however was horrible. We multiple Items and it was appeared and tasted like food from soup kitchen. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food. They seem to be banking on their location to get you there and simply microwave convenience store food.

Our waiter had an attitude with us from the start. The service was pretty good in the beginning but after the appetizers, there was a very long lag and no one came to clear the table. We had to ask where our entrees were and then when they finally came out, our waiter rudely asked us to move the plates to make room for our dinner. The food was ok but not great and very expensive. the restaurant is beautiful.

I had the scallops. My wife had the chicken. Both were overpriced for their value . Scallops were’t tender and and had average taste . For &61.00 for 4 mediocre scallops. Chicken was overcooked and tough. Both platters had fillers to make the meals appear larger . We went because of the convemient location . We will not be back.

It was nice and fast and my food the short ribs were great but my husband pork was raw in the middle. It was our anniversary and most restaurants acknowledge it but they did not .
