Home of the Wet Woody ® and storybook sunsets, Riva Grill is Tahoe South’s premier lake front restaurant located in the Ski Run Marina. The 3,000 square foot deck overlooking Lake Tahoe comfortably seats 200 guests and is a dining experience that is second to none. Floor to ceiling windows in the two-story restaurant provide an equally epic view of the Sierras and Lake. Since 1998, visitors and locals alike have flocked to Riva for the best food and service in town. Try the bacon-wrapped filet and scampi with Point Reyes Bleu Cheese butter, the renown grilled or blackened fish tacos with apple-jicama slaw and micro cilantro or any of their home made wood fired pizzas, to name just a few. Additionally, a visit to Riva Grill would not be complete without trying their world famous Wet Woody ® signature cocktail. The rum and fruit juice blended drink will leave you with cold hands and a warm heart and certainly wanting one more.

Parking details
There is always plenty of parking available at Riva Grill. Complimentary valet parking is provided, lunch and dinner, seven days a week during the summer season. Additional parking is accessible in the lot adjacent to Riva Grill where the first 90 minutes of parking is complimentary.
Public transit
Riva Grill is centrally located in South Lake Tahoe where Ski Run Blvd. meets Lake Tahoe. We are one mile west of the Heavenly Gondola; on the south side of highway 50, and a quick ride by taxi cab, Blue Go transit or bicycle. Many folks choose to walk here on warm summer evenings and return by taxi. Plenty of bicycle and kayak parking available.

This place is a must when in South Lake Tahoe. The food, drinks, service and ambience are excellent. You can’t go work g with any of their wet woodys.

If I could give them a zero for the food I would. It was so subpar I wouldn’t make my dog eat here. It was cold, tasted off and this isn’t the first time. Went here last summer and it was bad quality food then too. Thought we’d give them another chance, never again.

Food was average. Served risotto with mushrooms fine but cold cherry tomatoes on top - odd. The meals are over priced for the setting. If you sit upstairs it feels like an out dated banquet hall. Server was very very friendly and helpful. But no bussing staff to refill waters. Bread sticks and hummus are a nice touch. Going out for a family of five there is a big chunk of change. We were celebrating two birthdays and wanted a special Outting but this was too pricey for the experience and the caliber of the food. Would recommend you just go to the bar have a woody tim drink enjoy the sunset and find dinner at home

This place is in a great location, but the value of food was awful! The food is way overpriced and did not taste good, I had wine which tasted sour, next I ordered a pomegranate martini which was very red, cocktails were not made by a professional. The waitress was decent although it took awhile to get our check, to give her credit- she was swamped and I’m sure had many people returning bad food or drinks. I would not recommend this place.

Wonderful NYE experience! Friendly, experienced waitstaff, deliciousness in every plate from appetizers thru desserts! We can’t dine here without having the lobster bisque 🥰 Nice touches for NYE with complementary party hats & champagne toast! Dancing in the bar with countdown at midnight was a fun atmosphere. We’ve visited here many time & it’s always enjoyable.

Coordinating a party of 21, especially with 11 children, is no small task, and Riva Grill not only rose to the occasion but exceeded all expectations. While I regret that I cannot recall her name, our server from Romania was nothing short of extraordinary. Her warm demeanor, attentiveness, and professionalism made our evening seamless and memorable. She truly went above and beyond to ensure every single member of our group felt cared for—no small feat with such a large party and so many little ones! It was the perfect way to celebrate the holiday as a family.

We have always loved Riva Grill. This visit went a bit sideways. It all started well. We were seated quickly and our waitress was pleasant. We ordered a salad and soup, to be split, and they accommodated this nicely. We no sooner received our soup and salad,when our entrée arrived. First they were delivered to another table, before they finally got to us. We still had soup and salad. No pacing at all, and no apologies or accommodation was offered by the waitress or management. The salad and soup were delicious, but the filet mignon was undercooked.
