The first Roy's opened in Honolulu in 1988 and we've spread our warm hospitality and passion for innovative and creative cuisine around the world ever since.     The food and service at Roy’s was unparalleled, as usual. Highly recommend. Try the filet mignon and the shellfish platter. For cocktails, the pineapple coconut martini, and for dessert, the pineapple upside down cake with coconut ice cream. Delicious!

    There is a consistency to the quality of food here that keeps me coming back. That and the chocolate souffle. Okay, it's really about the chocolate souffle. Have I mentioned how good it is? :)

    This reminded of reading stellar reviews for a new movie on Prime only to be disappointed by the poor acting and writing. Yes, the rug got pulled out from my feet at Roy’s. The positives; a friendly hostess and a friendly waiter, albeit unprofessional calling his patrons “brother”. The food was really bad and the wine list was underwhelming. The decor is from the 80s with dirty carpet running throughout the establishment. The lighting was way too bright and the dishes are highly overpriced. I’ve had a better steak at a cafe off a side street in Cartagena, Colombia. We will not return here, ever.

    Had a very leisurely three hour lunch here. The food was outstanding as I remembered it from the original restuarant on Oahu. I found it remarkable that I dud not see a single other table occupied.

    Larry directed us to the restaurant and gave us some great food recommendations. Christina gave us excellent service and the food was superb. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and they made us feel very special!

    The worst time to go was holidays - we went 12/6 for my mom’s big milestone bday. They had 3 large parties they clearly weren’t capable of supporting. Our table of 5 completed was last on the list - as well as the other smaller tables. They were comping food left and right. Decore was super dated. The food is the star of the show always but people agree on those prices because they celebrate birthdays and it’s a classy experience with good food. They already had a party room that was full and then still chose to seat 2 large parties of around 30 each. There’s no reason they should seat large parties outside that room. It’s way too loud and literally had to use ear plugs. This isn’t an Applebees…reservations are designed to help you plan and clearly management didn’t. Didn’t do the traditional happy birthday candle or let us sing because they were so distracted. Food was crazy late. Absolutely not worth it - such a shame. The Pasadena location was the best.
