   Best grilled salmon! Scallops were so tender. Vegetables were a little over seasoned for me but I don’t use much salt in my food. The rhubarb and strawberry crops with ice cream is DELICIOUS!

   Always great food and superior service, we were there for our daughter's birthday. They always make you feel taken care of and were able to accommodate us regarding any food allergies. Everything was outstanding!!

   Russell's is one of our favorite small local spots. The food is usually awesome but this night it fell short. We did here that Russell himself was not on the grill :( We started with the Scallop Appetizers - This dish was excellent. Two of the meals were good - both Grilled Filet Mignon. Medium Rare came to the table slightly over cooked. Medium was fine. The third meal was the special - Grilled Rib Eye with Demi-Glace- our server told us Russell had cut them that morning. This was order: Medium Rare, no mash potatoes, extra veggies of the day. Sadly, a New York - a menu item served with the same Demi-Glace - was delivered to the table, with mash potatoes! Oh well I thought, I can eat the potatoes, which i did. I started in on the steak & it was NOT a rib eye. I was dense & tough with no marbling & was cooked to medium. The cut had a large band of gristle & no flavorful fat a rib eye is know for. I sent it back! I truly believe I was delivered someone else's meal. I hope they enjoyed my rib eye! Though our server felt confident that the meal was as ordered, we were not charged! For that I am very appreciative.

   It was a nice evening until the surprise on the bill. An extra $4 to cook in oil not butter and an extra $5 to change garlic mash to gnocchi due to an allergy, when gnocchi was already offered as an alternative on many dishes.

    We celebrated an anniversary with dinner at Russell's; it was our first time there. We had a server (didn't get his name) who was simply outstanding. The food was delicious and the portions just right. It was a little noisy for early (5:15) on a Wednesday evening, but tolerable. It was very expensive - for two small salads, two entrees (scallops and salmon) and a single glass of wine, the bill came to $149.00. I recommend Russell's for that rare night out to celebrate something special, but not as a regular dinner out.
