I had an amazing dining experience at Ruth’s Chris! The petite filet was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The lobster mac and cheese was absolutely phenomenal, rich and creamy with generous pieces of lobster in every bite. To top it all off, the crème brûlée was the perfect ending to the meal—light, creamy, and with a perfectly crisp caramelized top. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. Can’t wait to come back!

Specifically asked for a nice romantic table near a window to celebrate our 35th anniversary- we are regulars and never doubted that we would be taken care of . Waited a long time for our table even though we were early and then they took us upstairs to what had to be the worst table in the place ! No view , no only was the table leaning - the chairs were leaning ! We requested to move downstairs since it was a special occasion and they did accommodate us - took us to a table way in the back of the side dining room - no view. Paolo was efficient but had no idea of our special occasion- we ordered the filet mignon and shrimp which both plates came out overcooked . The rest of the dinner was the average service you get at any Black Angus or Outback . Very disappointing as this has been our go to restaurant for every special occasion and happy hour for decades- hope this is not a sign of what we can expect from now on . What was meant to be a special treat ended up being a big disappointment!

This is always a great place, however, I did miss the personal touch of the personalized menus with our name on them. That should come back.

We have been going to Ruth's Chris in Del Mar for the past 24 years. And, we are so pleased that it is now back thriving again. Last night (Valentine's Day), we sat in the bar for cocktails, appetizers and then ordered carryout. Anthony was our server and, as always, he was pleasant, polite, knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail. The martini's were perfect, bbq shrimp app was spot on and our takeout (seabass, crab cakes, salad and chocolate cake) were all packed perfectly and tasted wonderful. Thanks to Anthony, Jaime and the rest of the crew for a wonderful evening.
