Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 142 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

    My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating my mom’s birthday. The food was excellent! The service was excellent! Lillian and Enrique were so pleasant and made our experience even better! Will definitely return. Thank you so very much!

    Our Thanksgiving dinner at Ruth’s Chris was fabulous from beginning to end. We enjoyed a drink in the beautiful bar before dinner. Once we were seated, William took care of us and he was amazing attentive and so very kind. The food was prepared beautifully and the taste was completely amazing. We frequent the other Ruth’s Chris in the region and this one was the best we’ve had in quite a while We appreciate so much the restaurant and the staff being open on Thanksgiving day as I know it took the team members away from their families and celebrations.

    Caesar dressing - excellent Turkey breast- fairly bland Turkey dressing - weird spice used. None of the 4 of us cared for it Franck was a great server

    I expected this to be very good, and it was way better than I even expected! The service was impeccable, the pacing was just right, and the food was absolutely delicious! We had petite fillet, house salad, salmon and shrimp, brussels sprouts, and mushrooms, as well as a bowl of fresh berries for dessert with raspberry sorbet. Couldn’t have asked for anything to be any better! And it was a birthday, and they absolutely nailed it in terms of being celebratory without publicly embarrassing. I’d give 10 stars if they had it!

    Dinner for two on Saturday night. I ordered the cowboy ribeye medium and it came out perfect. My wife ordered the petit filet medium and it came out well done. Both side orders we ordered were excellent. We both ordered drinks and they came out promptly. We ordered a second round midway through dinner and it was forgotten about. Although the waiter was polite, he seemed flustered and only visited the table once midway through. Had to flag him down for the check, which surprisingly came out extremely quickly. Seems like we were being kicked out. Overall the experience was just OK when compared to our prior dine in experiences at RC. The fact that one steak came out overdone and a round of drinks was never delivered made this visit a let down. Pair that with being ignored throughout dinner made it a disappointment. I still tipped 20% though. For a $300 dinner, I feel like my money could have been better spent by making my own steak on my grill.

    Finished/dirty plates remained on our table far too long. Had to ask for them to be cleared multiple times. When they were cleared, we had to ask for more silverware and napkins

    We had an amazing experience, as always. We celebrated our anniversary. The table was decorated, we were given a card and we each received a wonderful dessert. It was a wonderful experience!
