Located on the ground floor, our restaurant Sun, Surf & Sand - also known as S3 - centers on coastal cuisine and a unique sharable concept. We offer the closest dining spot to the ocean anywhere along Fort Lauderdale Beach.     Food was very good. Our favorite dish we ordered was the lobster ravioli. Service was outstanding and very friendly.

    The service was great. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The appetizers were served soon after they were ordered. Our entrees came shortly after we were done with the apps. The grilled octopus and lobster ravioli were my favorites.

    We had a 7:15 reservation. Arrived, was told ‘we are running a little late, should be 15 minutes’. We left at 7:55, went elsewhere, had a great dinner. Been coming here for years. Second time this happened. Not wasting my time again. Food was always good, but, not that good.

    The waiter and waitress service was excellent. The food is good. The ambiance is very good. But, had to wait 45 minutes to get a table despite having a reservation. Makes me think that they don’t know how to manage reservations, they don’t have a 2 hour table limit, or they accept too many walk-ins. I live on Las Olas, but I will never go here again because of the wait.

    Really amazing food! Great service & very welcoming atmosphere. The coconut cake was the size of a small building and so moist and delicious. Very impressive. Will definitely go back:-)

    The service was not okay. The server treated the customers like kids. Two teens were on a date. It was special. They were told to "order quickly" - this is not okay! The kids have more money to spend than most of the patrons, yet they were tossed aside. Thanks a lot!

    Food was exceptional for a pretty good value. Service was great as well. However pretty loud when seated outside.

    We’ve been coming to FTL and S3 annually since 2020. We’ve always told everyone that S3 was our favorite restaurant and made a point to go, but I don’t know that this will continue for future trips. Because we’ve always loved it, we decided to book it for Valentine’s Day. Maybe they just can’t handle a holiday. We waited for 20 minutes after our reservation. We booked our reservation before Christmas, and we were placed at a table between multiple large parties and no view. Every straight couple was given a rose and a Valentine’s Day menu at the hostess stand. My husband and I (celebrating our 13 Valentine’s Day together) were not. (Pro tip: if you just aren’t sure who to hand a flower to in a same-sex relationship, just ask. Or put it on the table. Or offer it to both and see who takes it! Our reservation clearly states it was a date.) Our server had a table of ten beside us and made it very clear they were her priority. We were seated 15 minutes before we even got water. We frequently had empty drinks. The steak we ordered came pre sliced, which I thought was very odd. Turns out two slices were 100% fat grissel, making 1/3 of the steak inedible. We also ordered espresso for the end of our meal and specifically asked when ordered for sweetener. The server brought the espresso and no sweetener. By the time she returned with the sweetener several minutes later, the espresso was stone cold (why I made sure to ask up front in the first place). Sucks that we decided to spend a special night someplace that made us feel like they didn’t have the time or care for us.
