              Went to Sunday brunch with a friend who was visiting from out of town and it was perfect - great food, atmosphere, and drinks! Highly recommend.

              We got cocktails from the bar prior to sitting which were delicious. We had the calamari/shrimp etc app which was great. I got the steak, which was delicious and my husband got the pork. The pork was not our favorite as it was a little tough/dry. We finished it off with a pumpkin cheesecake which was also very good. I also love that I can get a glass of Sancerre which you don’t often see.

              Eric at the bar was awesome! Great cocktails and always attentive, go hang with him, you won't regret it! We had planned on a table, but ended up staying at the bar for dinner. Shared a few dishes. Oysters were fresh and came with all the goodies, tuna tacos were awesome, kale and fruit salad was bright, fresh, and the hazelnuts...oh man! The crab gnocchi brought it all home! Highly, highly recommend!!

              Unfortunately we were stuck by the kitchen. The service was good though it took a long time for the waitress to come back so we could order a second round. The highlight was the oysters Rockefeller. They were excellent. Tuna tartare tacos were disappointing and the crab gnocchi was good but needed a bit of Romano or something to add some more flavor. Will definitely go back. Usually everything is great. Just had a slightly off night!

              To keep it short and sweet, the waiter seemed inexperienced. Had to ask for the specials and the oyster menu. Had to flag him down when we needed water and second round of drinks. Checked in on us once after the food came. That was it. Service left a lot to be desired. Food was good but over priced. Small piece of salmon looked no more than a 4oz portion, and some rice/couscous for $40 is absurd. Add some veggies and I’d be able to live with it. Won’t be back any time soon. And it’s a shame because I live in the area.

              When a restaurant opens, one of the first things staff should be trained to do is time the orders properly so that diners do not get their main course delivered while still eating the appetizers! This is what happened when we dined at Salt and Barrel. It wasn't just our table, or, our waiter, it was happening all around us. Everyone was surprised. The prices are a bit steep for the quantity as well. Which is too bad, because the food is fresh and well seasoned. They need to get their act together. We won't go back any time soon.

              Every time we dine here it gets better and better. I can’t say a single negative thing about this restaurant and tonight Emily and Jay made the night even better. I’m already thinking about my next meal there on the way home from dinner!
