   Overall a good restaurant in Beaufort and we plan to return. We ordered grilled Halibut and Delmonico steak. Both were cooked properly but the sides were a little cooled. It would be nice to have choices of sides. The room could be laid out better. The air conditioning is very loud. A quieter environment would be a plus. We did not dine outside but it looks nice. Overlooks the waterway.

   It was a bit of a mixed bag. First challenge was finding this place- and a place to park, even on a Sunday night. The drinks and food were terrific. The crab bisque and the mussels were particularly great. But our server seemed a bit distracted. We didn’t get the right implements or seasoning for our dinner - and she completely forgot my husband’s wine order.

   We arrived for a 5:00 reservation at 4:50 but.had to stand outside with other guest in blowing rain and wind by the door and were not admitted till exactly 5:00. It wasn’t that the staff did not know we were there. They saw all of us but ignored our presence. Apparently it is their policy not to open their doors till 5:00. Was not happy eating in wet clothes. There was a huge bar and would have been very glad to sit and have a drink and wait for our time but doors remained locked. I would have given 5 stars as the food was delicious and server was excellent

   Bravo to Angel and Lydia for the professional service. Any time I have company staying this is our one must stop for drinks & dinner. Wonderful seafood and steaks.

   As "local regulars" we enjoy Saltus! We have our favorites which is the crab cake appetizer. However, this time we were very disappointed because mine and my wife's crab cakes were very salty! When our service person asked about the food, we expressed our disappointment and she apologized but did not offer a solution such as a replacement a credit or even a complimentary dessert. This doesn't affect our loyalty to Saltus or anything because stuff happens! However, we know this does not conform to Saltus standards! We think that at a minimum, the manager could have come over and addressed the issue personally with us! PJC

   The air conditioning was very bad. It was blowing on and off. So it was freezing. My table was so sticky it was gross - my husband enjoyed his food. I had sushi- subpar. No bread and butter for the table - over all just ok

   Our second time already this year. Large groups both times. Food was fabulous. As was the service. Will definitely keep coming and recommending to others.

   We went to Saltus based on the recommendation of friends. It didn’t disappoint. Great food. Great service. Can’t wait to come back.

    The service and food delivery was not good. One person got their meal first, then the other 2 got their meals about 10 or 15 minutes later. They did not make the fourth person’s meal correctly and she had to wait an additional 15 minutes. It was not busy. The did give the fourth person a free dessert.
