Every day dining with a relaxed, coastal vibe SAX offers a delectable every day indoor dining experience with eclectic fireside menus for breakfast, dinner and drinks. Designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, SAX menus are perfect for any meal or gathering. This coastal experience paired with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, offers a feeling of home for casual, family-friendly dining throughout of year.

With extensive appetizer selections including buffalo shrimp, bruschetta, fried calamari, steamed clams and truffle mac ‘n’ cheese in addition to homemade flat-breads and SAX’s signature cornbread, a classic comfort food, guests can indulge in a variety of starters or pair them with a favorite entree and dessert.

                  The place itself is beautiful. Our waitress was great, I just think she had way too many tables to be as attentive as she probably would be. I counted 7 tables at one point she had, which at this kind of restaurant is too many. Me and my son ordered the NY Strip both med-well. My steak was okay. My sons was more medium rare and had to send it back. The potatoes were bland and had no flavor, same as the spinach. The cocktail was wonderful, but never got to order more. The soup, pasta fagioli had no pasta? Overall, at these kind of restaurants that charge $60 for a steak, I expect them to cook a steak to the guests temp and for it to be tender and flavorful. Definitely was not worth the money in my opinion. The staff was very friendly and wonderful though.

                  The service is always enthusiastic, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. That alone makes the evening enjoyable. The food is well-prepared, the menu is varied and wine/cocktails are excellent. If you appreciate the above, it’s very well worth it

                  Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. Saxtini is a wonderful cocktail. Husband said mussels were fresh. Filet was cooked perfectly.

                  Everything from start to finish was impeccable with this meal. Our waiter was outstanding., he knew the ins and outs of everything on the menu and was able to answer any questions that we had for him. He was very attentive and was an excellent waiter. The food was amazing. We had appetizers, mains dessert and drinks. Everything was top-notch. I would return to this restaurant in a second and I’m very happy with everything about our meal.

                  Our first time dining at Sax. We had a wonderful experience. Our server Janiksa was so attentive and friendly. The food was great . we will definitely return there for another meal.

                  Our third visit in less than a month. Food was very good once again (crab cakes and salmon). Well prepared, served hot. If there was any downside to our visit it seemed like our server, who worked his tail off, was over-burdened because he was alone and had too many tables. And secondary the desire to squeeze a party of two into tine two tops when there was a restaurant full of open four tops. All in all there's no doubt that we will return once again. If you visit Stone Harbor, especially in the off season, this is a great option.

                  Unlike most restaurants in Stone Harbor/Avalon that are over-priced with so-so food and can’t wait to get you out the door, Sax is an enjoyable place to eat dinner. The food is excellent and (for the shore) reasonably-priced. Every time that we have been there the service has been great (our server last night, Georgiana, was excellent). Sax is the only restaurant on 7 mile island that when we leave we say “We have to come back again.”
