   We have been coming in for years and usually do the 1st seating at 5pm. Our go to is the spaghetti and meatballs that we split. If I didn't know any better..the meatballs were a left over from the nite before. Not a good idea for a popular restaurant.

   I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly, the food and service and the ambience, the low noise level, the quaint home like feel that this nice Italian restaurant provides is quite a nice change from the city where I live in Los Angeles. The food was fantastic and flavor was perfect. The proportions were large and the service was perfect thank you for providing me and my wife such a wonderful dinner meal on our last night in South Lake Tahoe vicinity. I’m sure this must be a local favorite!

   We were on vacation and a person recommended Scusa and we’re so happy we dined with you. Excellent service (thanks, Rene!), outstanding food and good wine.

   This trip to Scusa was not good. We were there a week prior, ordered the same entrees and they must have had a different chef as the food was bland and flavorless. Really disappointed. Our server only checked on us once. In fact the food runner and buster were more attentive.

   My husband and I have been coming here every year for 8 years. We always come on Friday for their lobster ravioli and ossobuco specials. We never leave disappointed. The atmosphere is very romantic and is a must go to whenever in Tahoe!

   We arrived for our reservations at 7:15pm where we were meeting some friends. When we got there our friends said they didn’t show a reservations for us. When I looked at my Open Table, I realized that I had saved the wrong date so I quickly changed it to 7:30 on the current date. The hostess said it would be a couple of minutes and she set up our table. There was 8 of us eating. We started out with appetizers where we got calamari, burrata crostini and bruschetta bread. Everything was amazing! We also brought our own bottle of wine that he did not charge a corking fee because we ordered two more glasses of wine with our meal. Next, we ordered salads and entrees. I ordered the Seafood linguine with the red sauce and substituted veggies for pasta. My husband ordered the scallops and my friend ordered Eggplant Parm. Everything was amazing! Scusa’s is my favorite restaurant in South Lake Tahoe! Awesome ambiance, food and service!

    The only thing we wish could have been different is that we requested a booth when we arrivedf but they said they were all booked...there were 2 open ones the whole time we were there. Other than that, our waiter Gabriel was great and the food was outstanding! The birthday treat at the end was a special surprise and absolutely delicious!
