Sfoglia is a lovely little trattoria residing on an unassuming stretch of the Upper East Side, across the street from the 92nd Street Y. Farmhouse tables topped with the season's produce are the appropriate setting for Sfoglia's country Italian fare. The private dining room tucked away upstairs can seat an intimate party of twelve.

The large farm table stands in the center of our reserve wine cellar and can accommodate parties of up to twelve guests.Alternatively, the restaurant can be partly / fully booked for larger groups ranging between 25 -75 guests for any array of occasions.

We were half an hour late since the traffic driving in from CT was terrible but they were really nice about it even though the restaurant was packed. We were going to to a program across the street and they rushed our dinner for us. Best brsnzino I’ve ever eaten.

I showed up on the wrong day (completely my mistake) but the hostess couldn’t have been more accommodating. Seated us right away where we proceeded to have amazing pasta bolognese, goat cheese gnudi and creme brûlée. Our server was perfect (checked on us just the right amount) and even picked out my second cocktail based upon what I chose for my first (the second one was even better). Highly recommended!

Love this restaurant, but yesterday at 8 pm it was crowded, loud and rather unpleasant. We will avoid this hour in the future. Their normally amazing Ceasar salad was somewhat disappointing as well. Hope it was just an off night.

Friendly, neighborhood place with wonderful food and service. Flat bread, Caesar salad and chicken are always winners.

Every time we visit NYC, we have to make a stop at Sfoglia. Hands down it is the best Italian restaurant we have dined at, anywhere! There is no part of the experience of dining at Sfoglia that is sub-par. From the moment you walk in to the moment you begrudgingly have to leave, each member of their team provides a great service and friendly atmosphere for patrons. Lastly, I think what makes Sfoglia stand out the most is the limited choices/selections for patrons. They don't have some lengthy dinner menu, wine list, etc. The focus on a few dinner options and they prepare them the best they can. The provide a few wines by the glass, but they are the best wines you've ever had. You can tell they truly believe in maintaining their focus on a few keys items but providing them at a level, and in a manner, that you're not use too.
