Shaw's Crab House is Chicagoland's Premier Seafood Restaurant. Reservations made for "Bar" seating will be for our casual Oyster Bar, reservations made for "Standard" seating will be in our more formal Main Dining Room and reservations made for our "Outdoor" will be on our patio.
All reservations are limited to 2 hours of dining.
Shaw's Crab House offers a unique dining experience focusing on seasonal fresh seafood, made to order sushi and our signature Alaskan King Crab Legs. Our reputation relies on quality ingredients prepared in a straight forward style, with crisp, professional service.

Amazing experience this evening. Juan helped us with a mixup on my reservation, Debbie our server was warm, friendly, and timed everything perfectly. And most importantly, the food is outstanding. Such a treat to dine at Shaw’s. Hands down, my favorite.

Always a nice dining experience. The service by our waiter was great. Although, when 9 PM came, the staff seemed very anxious to clear out the dining room, and get us on our way - on a Saturday. This is probably the item that reduced my star rating slightly, along with the cost (dining our has gotten expensive these days, hasn't it?). The oysters were great. The fish (Walleye) and the lobster were both great. The wine selection was very good. For a special occasion, a very nice place for quality seafood, in the Midwest.

Somewhat overnight, Shaws went from our absolute favorite place to noisy, rundown and overpriced. Reservation meant nothing and waited 35mins to be seated. Had to ask for bread, silverware,…portions small and very overpriced, heat must have been into as we had to wear our coats at the booth. Facility had that ‘beat’ look. Sad that so many great places are trending this way. Sigh,…..check please.

Waiter was great. Attentive and nice but clearly they are short on wait staff. We consistently had old dishes at our table. Water was not refilled timely. Staff doesn’t fold napkins when people get up. Food was lower quality than my expectations for the caliber of Shaws. My experiences at the downtown location is significantly better. Food presentation was average. Oysters came with no explanation of what was what. Disappointed there wasn’t a champagne vinegar option with oysters.
