For over 20 years Siena has been Austin’s premier destination for authentic Tuscan cuisine. Locally owned and operated Siena's owners wanted to share their love of Tuscany with Austin diners. Utilizing the talents of long time veteran of the Austin food scene, Chef Harvey Harris, Siena's goal is to transport the dinner from the hills of North Austin to the rolling hills of Toscana. Chef Harvey received his Master's Chef in Italian cuisine while attending culinary school in Piedmonte Italy, but his heart is in Tuscany where he lived and worked. All food at Siena is prepared to order, pasta is made fresh daily as well as all stocks and sauces. Our food is complemented by an award-wining wine cellar and served in rustic, elegant surroundings of thick stone walls and tall wood-beamed ceilings. Whether visiting for happy hour, special event, or a romantic evening, experience the welcoming charm of Tuscany close to home.

    We've been a number of times recently but I felt the atmosphere and service lacked some of its charm last night. Everything was good without being exceptional. Server didn't seem engaged with us and I didn't feel that they wanted us there.

    Lovely spot for a special dinner. All 4 of our entrees prepared and plated to perfection. Service attentive but not hovering.

    Siena is always a favorite for my husband and me. Our favorite entree is the walnut crusted trout, and the panna cotta was scrumptious. As always, the ambiance was conducive to conversation; thank you for keeping the noise level down! Service was outstanding as usual. This restaurant provides a wonderful upscale dining experience for adults. I would advise against bringing young children unless they are well behaved.

    We were dining with 2 other couples. Food delivery was slow, although it was a busy night with at least two large private groups there. After receiving the bill, we asked the waiter to provide us with (3) separate bills for each couple and were told that this was not possible. Very frustrating back and forth discussion with the waiter about this but he maintained this could not be done. Thankfully, a manager overheard the discussion and very pleasantly worked with us to come up with the (3) separate bills that we had requested. She saved the day. We also had kind of a grumpy and rigid waiter in the bar, where we had a drink before being seated. We've always enjoyed dining here and usually have had very good service. Maybe this was just a bad night for the wait staff.

    Good experience, the server lady was great, she gave us a couple good suggestions , very kind and attentive. Was a good experience overall!

    We have dined here since it opened. Food is usually great but tonite was a joke. Inedible fig appetizer and a seafood stew do overcooked it was like eating rubber and a sea bass that tasted awful. No one asked how is the food and we left most of it on the plate. $130 for awful food. Sorry - it is what it is. Great service otherwise. It will be awhile before we come back.
