Post Ranch Inn is excited to debut Mickey’s, a cozy and intimate bistro-style dining experience that captures the warmth and beauty of Big Sur. Named in honor of Mickey Muennig, the visionary architect behind Post Ranch Inn, Mickey’s offers a unique setting located inside the property’s striking art gallery. Available to the public for lunch, Mickey’s will be open for the next two months while Sierra Mar is temporarily closed for renovations.

Mickey’s presents a fresh culinary perspective at Post Ranch Inn with an à la carte lunch menu that features a variety of casual offerings such as a decadent Smash Burger, Croque Monsieur, Charred Caesar Salad, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Fennel + Apple Salad, Striped Bass, Venison + Chorizo Chili, Steak Frites, and more, with a menu that includes simple yet dynamic wine, cocktail, and beverage offerings.

                                        I love that place! Post Ranch Inn is so peaceful and beautiful. Plus I’ve never been to a farm to table restaurant where the garden is literally behind the restaurant!

                                        We had the pleasure of dining at Mickey’s Place during the retrofitting of Sierra Mar. As always, the service was fabulous! The menu was limited as could be expected for an interim facility, but the food was very good and we had a chance to explore a part of the Post Ranch property that we hadn’t before! Looking forward to experiencing the newly renovated Sierra Mar later on in the year!

                                        Sierra Mar put on a specil meal offering for NYE. It was thoughtfully arranged, with great wine pairings and periodic surprises. The pacing was good and the meal choices were well thought through. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

                                        Sadly one bad oyster can ruin a whole experience. We are oyster lovers and specifically sought this place out because they offered fresh raw oysters and rest of tasting menu looked creative. Ordered a dozen for us to split. Worst Kumamoto of my life, I spit it out. The others weren’t bad bad but not good- certainly not what I expected because most Kumamotos are absolutely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh veggies and dips that followed. We both liked mains and dessert as well. But yeah, for the price especially it was tough to recover overall experience. Chef sent out another oyster, but I was cautious to try again. The view and interior are stunning.

                                        Greatest location I’ve ever visited. Perched high in the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, the beauty of this place transcends thought. I preferred the salads - sourced from the local gardens. We ordered steak, fish of the day, and burger - all were good. Outstanding service - the bellman, a wonderful gentleman named Sergio, took us on a tour of the stunning premises. Brendan the manager is also someone who goes above and beyond.
