Sistina restaurant, one of the most highly rated Italian restaurants in New York City, has been impressing its sophisticated clientele for over 40 years. Host/owner/chef Giuseppe Bruno, the Zagat Survey's "Host of the Year", is responsible for every aspect of his restaurant, from greeting his devoted patrons, to preparing special meals and dishes upon request.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel your reservation please let us know a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Failure to notify the restaurant will result in a $50 cancelation fee per person in the group.
DRESS CODE: We politely ask that you please avoid SHORTS & FLIP FLOPS.

    Artichoke in my salad had inedible choke on it. My tuna was not cooked to my temperature request and it was tough and tasteless

    Atmosphere lovely as was the captain. The two people who cleared tables stood in the middle Of the dining room like statues high was a bit odd. Fun evening. Interestingly the only downside was the lukewarm appetizers (we ordered z3 and none came out hot), and the under seasoned food. Salt and pepper were needed as was basic flavor. Profiteroles just basic.

    It seems that Sistina has changed, and unfortunately, not for the better. While the food is still incredible, the atmosphere feels different—more pretentious. My husband and I were very disappointed because we had been raving about Sistina to my mom. We finally brought her there, but the experience wasn't the same as we remembered.

    This was our second visit to Sistina. We were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. We shared the eggplant appetizer, it was delicious. We both had the spaghetti cacio e pepe. It was incredible, cooked perfectly, creamy sauce with a bite of pepper. My husband then ordered the tartufo! It was enormous and delectable. I helped him eat it! Both visits we were seated in the lovely glass jellyfish room. The large window’s natural light is wonderful, although the inner room is quiet and romantic too! I am Italian and come from a family of great cooks…very fussy about Italian food. If you are as well, you will be delighted with Sistina!

    we had a reservation for 9pm for 4 people. we arrived on time and were seated almost 15 minutes later. this was not a big deal to us. the wine service was excellent and the wine stewart was spot on with wine choices. the problems we encountered were a very rushed service and multiple mistakes made with our orders. for $300 per person this is just unacceptable. not only were we rushed to order everything but when the entrees arrived 2 of the 4 were wrong. one was fixed right away but the other did not come to the table until the other 3 were finished eating. not only am I Italian but i am also a really good cook and visit Italy often. I do know good Italian food. there are many Italian restaurants in Manhattan that are far better and for half the price or less. i wish we had gone for pizza instead. i came to this place based on a Wine Spectator review and vow never to go to a high end restaurant without a personal recommendation from one of my foodie friends. the evening was supposed to be a special occasion but really turned out to be a total bummer. save your money and go to lower Manhattan for real Italian food.

    Sistina offers an incredible selection of specials every day featuring the freshest seasonal ingredients. They also have the best pasta dishes in the city and a sophisticated cocktail and wine program in a beautiful townhouse setting, perfect for dates, special occasions, and out-of-town guests.
