   Service was slow - ordered soup forgot to give us spoons. Didn’t offer condiments. Food was awesome qnd the view amazing.

   The prime rib was fatty and stringy. It was busy so the service was slow. The rest of the food was excellent.

   So we came for Easter lunch with a wheelchair. They put us way in the back, so navigating between tables when leaving was a bit difficult. As for our table, it was nice and against a window to look out over the bay. That's where the good stopped. Sadly our waitress was on the inattentive side. Our food was mediocre at best. I had steamed clams that were rubbery and dry. Sent those back as I couldnt eat them. My husband ordered the 21oz prime rib, medium rare. It came maybe 1/4" thick and probably 8oz of pure fat. And it was medium to well done. Not a bit of pink to be found. Mom, in the wheelchair, got the surf n turf. Hers was the best meal. I really had much higher hopes for Skates than what we got...very disappointed.

   We enjoyed a wonderful Easter Brunch. The service was excellent and the food was as well. Started with the artichoke dip. The lemon soufflé pancakes were fantastic. The crab Benedict was very good as well. Will definitely be returning.

   Excellent experience. Our server Ivan was outstanding. The food was delicious, as was the champagne spectacular view!

   Skates was wonderful, as usual, in all respects. The restaurant did a great job of serving a large Easter weekend crowd. Beautiful sunset, delicious food, warm and friendly ambiance. HIghly recommended!

   For $100+ per person, our bill was $194 not including tips yet, even though we were not happy - we still gave a $26 tip. And never come back. We were here tonight 4/12/25 res 7pm to celebrate a birthday and we left a note when we made the reservation. Because in the bay, there are MANY good to great restaurants to choose from especially for a $200+ dinner for 2. 1) The lady (hostess) not friendly or welcoming at all. 2) We had to ASK for the littlest things (table bread came after our appetizer when we asked for it, our water glasses were EMPTY and only refilled after we asked for it) and he wasn’t too happy. 3) Do not order their “showstopper cocktail” $34 for 2 was not impressive at all. 4) The food!? The Ora King salmon was not worth the price because we couldn’t taste the difference from the regular salmon. The lobster Mac n cheese $20 came out LUKEWARM!? 5) We had to looked for and waved down our waiter every time! One possible excuse only would be this restaurant is understaffed BUT that doesn’t excused the lack of- not at these 3 dollar signs restaurant. 6) When we asked for to go boxes, he didn’t bring a bag for 2 boxes lol really $200+ bill and not even a bag. 7) The lady who delivered our entrees wow she spoke 2 words, the entrees - not friendly at all. So….the view of the water is NOT worth the prices and poor services from start to finish.

    Our overall experience was ok. Could've been better and we usually get a better experience. It never happened before to us, but our order was quite messed up. 1. We ordered drinks and appetizer. My husband's drink and my drink were ok, but my mother in law ordered a cosmopolitan and got pure vodka instead. They fixed it, by adding a cranberry juice, but I am not sure how instead of cosmo you get just vodka. 2. Our appetizer never showed up. 3. My husband's entre and mine were ok, but my mother in law asked to substitute cauliflower pure with a reg potato pure and it wasn't done. They fixed it and brought a bowl of mashed potatoes eventually. 4. When it was time for desert, instead of getting a desert menu for us to choose we all got a portion of creme brulee. Creme brulee is not my favourite, I actually wanted like a tiramisu or a chocolate cake, but they were free, so we ended up eating the free deserts.
