Soby’s New South Cuisine is an eclectic blend of contemporary continental cuisine infused with traditional Southern ingredients, transforming old favorites into something fresh and new. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Greenville, in a renovated cotton mill built in the 1800s. The atmosphere is warm and energetic and the staff is well-trained to provide a fantastic dining experience for all of our guests. In addition, the wine list offers more than 500 selections and is a Wine Spectator Magazine award-winner regular.

                                            Ordered Bison Steak special $58. Bison was very chewy and tough. Waiter asked how was the Bison? Told him it was tough and just okay. No response and handed me my check. Expected a lot more from overall dining experience. Will not consider Soby’s in the future plenty of other options

                                            Unfortunately had to wait over 30 minutes past my reservation time with no explanation. Otherwise it was a fair experience, but not up to the standard I have experienced before with this restaurant group.

                                            We had Michael as our waiter and he was exceptional. He was very polite, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and friendly. He had several tables along with us but we never felt crowded - showing great awareness; the kind of server you’d want!

                                            We were there for Sunday brunch, so it was quite crowded. Nevertheless, our table upstairs by a window was great and our server, Isabella, was wonderful. The food, too, was very, very good and reasonably priced. In all honesty, we cannot recall having a pecan sticky bun that was as good as theirs, and the shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had - including in some of the best restaurants in Charleston.
