Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar is situated in a 150 year old Seagram’s building, minutes west of the Waterloo Uptown Core. The interior soars two stories high to a timber frame ceiling, exposed brick and generous wood finishes, set the tone for an elegant yet casual experience.

The menu will transport your palate to a bistro somewhere in Europe. Items ranging from fresh-baked pizzas, pastas, vegetarian entrées, steaks, and seafood will satisfy any appetite. An extensive award winning wine list, great selection of Scotch, local and imported beers on tap complement the experience. Service is professional yet friendly. Solé is waiting to take you away and deliver a complete dining experience.

    I had a small business meeting with a friend. We both had the salmon salad and it was excellent, the salmon prepared exactly the way I like it. The service was outstanding as Katie took very good care of us. I will be back soon.

    Overall, I was very pleased with the food and service at Solè -- as usual. This is a great place for celebrating special occasions with family. One minor suggestion is that the Pavlova was too dry for my taste and perhaps could have been made better. Regardless, five stars from my end.

    Server was fantastic. Food delivery had the proper pace. Food was well prepared, hot, and delicious. Noise level was a bit high with the open dining room concept.

    We had a wonderful brunch birthday celebration. The mimosas, breakfast food and Creme Brulé were all excellent. Anna did a great job looking after us. It was a very nice celebration.

    Our overall experience was very good at Sole! We had no concerns about our service or food. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They were attentive and our food came out hot and on time. We enjoyed the whipped feta with roasted tomatoes as a starter and they were very generous with the flat bread tips for dipping. Delicious! The hamburger was excellent (large smash burger style) and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Sole is definitely on par with other restaurants at this same price point and I would recommend for a causal night out with friends.

    Excellent service by Olivia. Spent the evening getting caught up with another couple. Noise level was tolerable for dinner conversation. Food selection and flavour were very good. Nice evening.

    Service and ambiance of the place was excellent. My partner and I’s entree was heavily seasoned. I could eat mine when I removed the bacon but my partner barely finish half his meal. We reported this to the server who came to attend to our table and the matter was attended to right away, quite graciously. I really appreciated this.
