Spencer's is one of Salt Lake City's oldest steakhouses that continue to deliver contemporary dishes that surprise the locals featuring Prime steaks.     We came here after seeing a video from an influencer. The restaurant looked really cool however upon entering it wasn’t what we expected. It’s attached to a hotel bar that plays football extremely loud. To hear men screaming at touch downs while paying $77 for a steak is not good vibes. We had a chipped glass, very strong air conditioning pushing down on us. The food was good and our server was nice, but the environment was not as luxurious as the cost of their meals represented it to be.

    was really looking forward to visiting the Rare Room, expecting it to be more of an immersive experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be just a basic room with red lights and curtains—nothing particularly special or memorable. Beyond that, the overall upkeep of Spencer’s left a lot to be desired. The carpets clearly needed to be cleaned and vacuumed, which took away from the atmosphere. That said, the food was excellent, so compliments to the kitchen staff. However, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the food. Our server forgot an entire entrée, which was a big oversight. Overall, there’s potential here, but better maintenance and more attentive service would make a big difference.

    Such a fun night celebrating at Spencer’s. I love this place and the servers are fantastic. We sat in the rare room and the experience is amazing. They went above and beyond for us.

    It was just so expensive for ok steak Price guide inaccurate Was $$$$ not $$ Not worth it Nice service and ambiance but the food for price did not match

    I’ve been going to Spencer‘s for 10 years on and off over 20 times. My meal last night was probably one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had there. I paid extra for the butchers selection and the steak was very poorly cooked. And the cut of beef was nowhere near what I was expecting for the additional $30. It was more expensive that the wagyu. It was obviously a sous vide steak that may have been in the sous vide way too long. There was no sear. There was no seasoning. Unfortunately Spencer‘s has declined significantly over the last year.

    Food was good. But the $$ chart is not accurate. I would say it's $$$$. Don't go thinking your going to spend 100 bucks for 2 people. But overall the people there were amazing!
