The Spring House Tavern dates back to 1719 and has been owned and operated by the Burns family since 1948. We specialize in seafood and are especially well known for our crab cakes. We look forward to seeing you!

    Our waiter was excellent and the food was very very good. We sat on the enclosed porch addition= they should consider artwork and more decorative touches but the food and the service were excellent.

    I made a mistake and booked for 7 when it was just my wife and I. The staff immediately fixed the problem, and we had a great dinner. We have a couples group we dine with and I will be taking them to dinner here soon. Caylie our server, Doug the host & the general manager all came by to make sure we were good. They treated us amazingly well. I had the crab cake, my wife had snapper soup and mussels and a chocolate lava desert. The food was excellent, the service amazing and I can recommend Spring House highly enough. Thank you

    First time at the Spring House Tavern and it did not disappoint. Lots of good choices ,nice of dishes for lunch. I had the French Dip. Good choice for a grey day like today. Sometimes the sandwich can come overly saturated but the Spring House was a nice size and jus’d just right. Horseradish sauce was tasty and the homemade potato chips over rides others. Very yummy lunch. Kylie, our server was cute as a button, seasoned and professional. Gave us the right about of time for two friends to catch up. Will be back to try the French Onion soup :) Thanks for a lovely lunch.

    We had an enjoyable weeknight dinner. Our meal kicked off with warm bread that was delicious. We had jerk snapper and crab imperial.the snapper was moist and delicious served with jasmine rice and salsa. I would’ve liked a bit more seasoning with a kick, but it was deliciousness . The crab imperial was amazing! The crab was the star of this fish dish. It was perfect. We didn’t have room for dessert, but the choices sounded wonderful.

    Restaurant was very crowded near Christmas time and quite noisy, but service was still very good. Menu is excellent with many items that I like to order, and food is always good.

    Wonderful dinner! We actually live local and had never been, so we decided to try it out! We were sat in the side bar area, at a hightop. It was absolutely beautiful inside. We got the baked Brie and bacon wrapped scallops (probably the best appetizers we’ve ever had)! I had the Mediterranean Pasta and my boyfriend had the crab cake; which got my stamp of approval (I’m from MD)! We finished with the cheesecake. Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had while living in Philly. We will definitely be going back! Also, the espresso martini was TO DIE FOR!!!!
