St. Elmo Steak House has been a landmark in downtown Indianapolis since 1902. It is one of the oldest Indiana restaurants in its original location & has earned a national reputation for its excellent steaks, seafood, chops & professional service. Try our famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail followed by a dry-aged USDA Prime Steak. We happily accommodate special requests; please call the restaurant directly. All reservations will be held for 15 minutes. Indy's best steakhouse!

    Great staff and great food. Probably our 10th time there. Our last visit the food was not up to par so we were skeptical. We were worried maybe it was going down hill. This time it was great as it had always been. We will definitely return.

    It was a great dinner. Steaks were amazing, the bean soup given with the steak was delicious. The only complaint was the coffee tasted a tad burnt but overall everything was excellent. A very cool old school steakhouse. I would recommend to anyone.

    Loved the atmosphere we all ordered the ribeye medium rare and orders came out medium. Most were of good quality. One came out half gristle very disappointing. Shrimp cocktail was as advertised. Good wine recommendation from the waiter although he seemed to be trying to get us out the door. A little disappointed with the quality and service but will give it another try.
