Since we first opened in 1995, Steamworks has been a favourite of Vancouver locals and visitors alike. Whether you're joining us for lunch, a drink after work, or a group dinner with friends and colleagues, we're honoured to have you with us.

Steamworks gets its name from the famous Gastown steam line that runs through our premises. Our onsite brewery uses steam to fire its kettles. The instant heat of steam allows for greater brewing finesse, and most importantly great tasting beer. Whether you're in the mood for a thirst quenching Lions Gate® lager, or a full bodied HeriocaTM Oatmeal Stout, we've got a beer to please your palate.

Service was exceptionally fast. We arrived late and needed to be on our way to an event. Server was very friendly and accomodating.

I was not wowed by anything about our experience. Everything was just ok. I understand prices are high right now but don’t feel the price reflected the portions. Doubt we will return!

It was my first visit to Vancouver from NJ so I was on the hunt for the best poutine. This place did not disappoint! I had the best burger, poutine, and local ale ever with the best view and the kindest waiter. Thank you, Jordan!

Fantastic service from all of the staff at Steamworks Gastown! Very busy December 6th evening with Christmas parties, Canucks game, Cirque du soleil and TSwift. and service was perfect! Thank you to the hostess team, chefs, and our server...didn't catch his name..but upstairs against the windows. Perfect!

My girlfriend has celiac disease, and she is writing this review. ** I have been celiac + hashimotos and hypothyroid for years, we had the chips and dip- which tasted like bougiuèe artichoke fish and chips sans fish; phenomenal. It has been × 3 hrs, no symptoms. We paired it with a pitcher of blackberry (daiquiri?) For $30- 2 people had the salmon goddess bowl and chorizo prawn jambalaya (both gf) for $100 Amazing experience!

Another great late lunch st Steamworks. Loved the butter chicken bowl. The table next to us was really loud do our server was happy to move us to a more conversation friendly table. That’s what I call great service, lovely views of the north shore over coffee completed our afternoon. Love Steamworks. I always bring out of town company to Steamworks.
