    Sides have gone down hill. Goose fat layered potatoes over cooked. Mac & cheese recipe different and not as good. Broccoli/almost/miso somehow different and not as good. Seriously I think that whoever supervised the sides last night was off their game. Oddly the steak was better then I've had in the past at strip house? Also some of the bus boys kinda smelled and need a shower. Still a fun generally good restaurant.

    Great service and food once seated however waited for 45 mins after booking time for our table, meaning we ate too late.

    This was my first visit to this restaurant, and we went to celebrate my guest’s birthday. For the occasion, I specifically requested both via the reservation app and by phone that there be no staff involvement, and no birthday mentions. All we wanted was a dessert plate with a candle and a “Happy Birthday” sign. However, upon arrival at our reservation, the staff immediately referred to our table as a “birthday table” and congratulated us. While the gesture was kind, it ignored my specific request for no birthday acknowledgment. Additionally, we ended up waiting 20 minutes for our reserved table. The restaurant was overcrowded, making conversation difficult. Our server was quick to take orders but forgot to serve wine to my guest, which felt inattentive. The steaks arrived after 45 minutes, served at the correct temperature and properly warm. We tried their famous layered chocolate cake, which looked great but tasted like chocolate bread with overly thick, refrigerated Nutella not what we expected. While the restaurant isn’t bad, it’s more of an elevated diner focused on steaks than a true high-end experience. It didn’t live up to its glowing reviews.

    We were delayed 40 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. The restaurant was apologetic and comped our drinks at the bar, which was appreciated. The seafood and steaks were delicious.

    Strip House is one of our go-tos when we celebrate or just want a good meal in NYC. Our server, Laura, was exceptional and made us feel at home, though tonight was a busy night. She recommended for us just the right amount of food and checked on us frequently. We shall be back!

    Thanksgiving without a big family gathering was still unbelievably festive and fun. Atmosphere wonderful, terrific music, very tolerable noise level, and mostly delicious food. Caesar salad over-dressed, terrible bread (they should sub out for breadsticks), excellent steaks, perfect fries, and stupendous desserts. 24-layer cake and baked Alaska not to be missed.
