Sugar Factory American Brasserie is a 9,000-square-foot space offering both sweet and savory American culinary classics to the MB Financial Park Entertainment District in Rosemont.

Sugar Factory’s culture is a celebrated concept of food and drink menus that include perfectly executed classics, from eggs benedict and burgers to housemade flatbreads, savory steaks and pastas. Our more unique selections include Banana Split Crepes, Rocky Road Fondue and Red Velvet Pancakes. Sugar Factory also found a way to spike your favorite drinks by offering signature smoking candy goblets, and specialty martinis and cocktails, such as the Cotton Candy Cosmopolitan or Cherry Tootsie Pop. Creative candy inspired milkshakes and the famous King Kong Sundae round out Sugar Factory’s inspired menu.

    I gave the ambiance 2 stars. The decorations were amazing, however, during our dining, several police officers came into the restaurant. They walked to the back dining area several times and did not say a word to anyone. It was very unsettling. The restaurant charges a 20% service fee, regardless of your party size. I am not sure what this is for. It sucks because I'm sure many diners consider this and it results in the servers seeing smaller tips than at other restaurants. Lasty, when i reserved our table, I requested that some of the staff sing happy birthday to my niece. While dining, we observed 3 variations of happy birthday celebrations. The 1st one, at the table next to us, the servers brought out a nice sized dessert with sparklers and several servers sang happy birthday. At our table, our waiter asked if we were celebrating anything, even thought I requested it beforehand) and we advised that it was my niece's birthday. So he and only him sang happy birthday. The 3rd celebration was epic. They dimmed the lights. Then strobe lights and a spotlight was used and over the sound system, the restaurant played a different version of the happy birthday song and at least 8 to 10 employees came out to sing and celebrate. My issue with this was, we requested the happy birthday song but our waiter was not made aware of this. Also, we were not given that option for the different levels of happy birthday celebrations. Finally, the food was really good and had good flavor. Would I go back, probably not for a birthday celebration, but could be convinced for the right setting. The police showing up really put a damper on the evening, but I can't hold The Sugar Factory responsible for that.

    We were waiting 50 min for table ! Food was ok but nothing special overall overpriced !

    We enjoyed everything! The service was wonderful, we received our drinks and food in a timely manner. We were check on several times. The drinks are amazing, it was worth every dime! The ambience is very Festival.

    Had reservations for 430 and didn’t get seated until 450 and they were short staff during the holidays which didn’t make any sense. The host/bartender was not very friendly was not very welcoming and kept on reiterating if our entire group was there and I informed her three times that our entire group was there.

    The food isn’t the great,expensive, cramped and incredibly loud. Plus they now add an automatic 20% to your tab.

    Food was mediocre but it’s more about the experience anyway. Our waiter was great and really took time to explain the menu. Kids had a great time.
