We will be hosting a wedding on Sunday, January 14, 2024 and will be accepting walk-ins only at our Mountainside Bar. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you!

This iconic lakeside lodge and restaurant is the ideal Tahoe getaway. With a charming lakeside hotel, fantastic food and a panoramic lake view, it is nothing short of a magical mountain experience.               Sunnyside is such an iconic Tahoe venue. Always good food and excellent service. A must go if you come through Tahoe City.

              Calamari is amazing as was everything else. Particularly impressed with their ribs (I’m from texas so no small feat) and the fish and chips (perfectly done and not unappetizingly greasy). The sticky toffee dessert was an OMG for the entire family. Everything was way above our expectations and we will definitely be back soon.

              We had a really nice, casual dinner. The server was by herself in a busy dining room but managed to keep everyone happy, including the party of 12! I had the Beetroot Pinot which was good, hubby had a beer. He started with the Caesar which had plenty of anchovies (special request). The salad was good, if a little small for $15. I had the Tahoe Buddha Bowl with salmon which was outstanding. Hubby had the tacos. They were really good but only two. Enough with a salad. We will absolutely be back!

              Reservations for 5:45pm, so we went to the bar. It took 30 minutes to get a drink as they were understaffed. Finally got seated for dinner at 6:15pm, 30 minutes late. Fries Calamari appetizers came out ice cold. Management did not seem present, if they were, did not seem concerned. Not a good night for Sunnyside.

              We go here every year for Thanksgiving and it’s amazing. Great food, great service, and the view is amazing! Highly recommend

              Love the fried Zucchini , one of our favorites when we go to the Sunnyside and the seafood Chowder was delicious .
