Nestled at the foot of the Watchman rock formation in Zion Canyon, Switchback Grille Steak & Fish House features hand-selected USDA Prime beef, Certified Angus Beef and a daily fresh fish menu that follows the seasons. Artfully prepared dishes, warm superior service, stunning views of the West Temple and a sophisticated southwest dining room come together for a truly unique dining experience. Additionally, Switchback offers full bar service with the area’s most extensive wine list. Banquet and catering services are available year round as well as a cozy sports grill with all of your pub favorites. No online reservations for party s of over 10 people. The wedge and scallops were great but the steak was not good. No flavor and tasted like a grill. Way overpriced for quality of food.

We had an excellent dinner and good service from a knowledgeable wait staff. It was a bit pricey. We ordered cocktails which were in no way generous on the pour for the price. We suggest ordering wine instead. It was very crowded. Reservations definitely required.

A warm, relaxing, fine dining rustic retreat after a day of hiking at Zion. Gorgeous views out of floor to ceiling windows. The sea scallops and bison filet were outstanding. Would have appreciated some fresh warm bread while we awaited our meals, however everything was delicious. The decadent carrot cake was a perfect end to the meal.

Stopped in to switchback for dinner, cute room, the host was very nice, the service was a bit hit and miss, and the food was unfortunately fair, The Bread Trio was underwhelming felt like cold sliced bread with some odd dipping sauces and no butter. Had a Caesar with chicken the chicken was a bit over done, the other entrees my group had were good but not remarkable for the price.

We had a very nice and relaxed dinner experience overall - my reason for a 5. It was great to be able to walk to this restaurant after a day of hiking and enjoying what felt like elevated comfort food. Sharlette, our server, was also key to this great experience. We selected the Ute bison and specialty meatloaf napoleon. Both were very good and the meatloaf was large enough for two hungry persons. The house Merlot and Chardonnay went well with our dishes. We were too full for dessert, but not really tempted by any of the offerings.
