    We’ve been to SY Kitchen many times, when we visit the Santa Ynez area. The food and service is outstanding. Their wood fired pizza is simply the best pizza I have ever had—including Rome. Pastas are well cooked and use the freshest ingredients. Prices are fair, commensurate with the quality. Their outside seating is my choice, as it’s quiet and mellow. The inside is more lively. Lots of locals eat here, which is a good sign.

    We spent the day in Solvang and picked SY for dinner. We were so impressed. The ambience was cozy and beautiful. The service was great and the food was fabulous! Can’t wait to go back as there were so many dishes we wanted to try. The truffle sliders are a MUST!!

    I would consider us regulars to this establishment. SY Kitchen always delivers excellent food and wine and my favorite desert panna cotta it topped off the evening. The owner of the establishment is always welcoming and greets everyone. The wait staff we have had the opportunity to be assisted by have all been amazing. We always recommend SY kitchen to friends, family, and people we meet. We enjoy our experience so much we buy GC for friends and family so they may enjoy SY Kitchen. Thank SY Kitchen for always providing excellent food and customer service!

    We came for lunch on NYE and we were looking forward to dining at SY, however it was a disappointing experience but not from a culinary perspective. The hostess was very sweet and accommodating on our request. The food was also very good. The problem was it took an hour and 20 minutes from the time we arrived to get our entree. It was obvious the waiter forgot to submit our ticket and the restaurant and waiter took zero responsibility for the mistake. No mention of the error just stated “we’re sorry we are busy” blah, blah, blah. I understand errors happen but own it. We will not return when in the area again. Thank you Chef!

    We have eaten here several times before, always great! However, this time seemed like the food was a little off. I want to say that our server was great! Cocktails were on point! The butternut squash soup seemed more potato than squash, and the gigli pasta seemed a little more Al dente than I think it should have been?. The mushroom pasta was delicious and consistent as always. We always come here when we visit the area, but may take a break after this visit.

    I came back in October, sat at the bar with my gf and we loved it! I couldn’t wait to go back with my family. We sat on the patio and it was a lovely evening. I had been dreaming of their Mushroom Pasta and Artichoke appetizer, both lived up to my memories’ hype. We celebrated my son and husband’s birthday dinner, it was a wonderful experience. Can’t recommend this place enough!
