Parking details
Valet is located down Lebanon St. north off of Wilshire in between Flower and Figueroa for a flat rate of $12.00. It is HIGHLY recommended to not park and leave your car after dinner. Valet will close when the last guest leaves and cars will be held in the parking structure until the next business day.
Public transit
The Metro station is located 1 block south at 7th & Flower. Valet parking is available on Lebanon St for dinner from 5:00 pm until closing, at a flat rate of $12. Public parking for lunch is available at 616 Figueroa St.

After dining, visit Elevate Lounge for dancing and cocktails. Elevate is open to the public Friday & Saturday from 10PM to 3AM. Friday & Saturday cover is $20 per person. Having dinner in Takami does not guarantee entry into Elevate. For bottle service/ table reservations, please contact Taylor at reservations@elevatelounge.com. There is also complimentary taxi transportation to Staples Center & The Music Center when dining at Takami.

Brought my girlfriend here for the first time and she loved it. Seth has been my waiter multiple times and he always hits the vibe check! Very much appreciate Steph for his amazing personality and quick service; get this man a raise.

The sushi was warm and honestly very poor quality, the lighting was horrible I had to use my phone flash to see my menu, and honestly couldn’t tell what rhe food looked like to well, the only good thing was the view which I still didn’t enjoy much because they have most of the window blurred out and as a 5’0 female I couldn’t see over the blurred window portion. The customer service was also horrible we had ordered only 2 rolls to start with and it took them 50 minutes to get us our first couple of rolls. This was way over priced and not worth it at all!

Incredible sushi! Such high quality fish and incredible flavors. Honestly such a great price for how incredible the food and drinks are. The stuff are so kind as well!

Very fun experience! Hosts and servers took very good care of us. I unfortunately do not remember the name of my server but he was an absolute gem! He took care of me and my wife during our wedding anniversary

Our Takami evening was phenomenal! We started with hot sake, which was actually hot! I was so glad because most places that serve it 🔥. We had it with regular edamame with salt and it was very fresh and served warm. Delicious! My husband had the sashimi salad and I ordered the mixed green salad and the wagyu hot plate that you cook at your table. So good! 😊 We topped dinner off with two mouthwatering desserts! The atmosphere at Takami can't be beat. An evening on their roof top patio that we'll remember forever. Just wonderful!

Super quiet night there. Almost vacant. Food very good. Waiter a little MIA for a quiet night. Hate to say it but a bit of a dank smell (carpet). Maybe it’s better when it’s more full and hopping.

We’ve been dining at Takami for years & have always had a wonderful experience. But we were highly disappointed with the restaurant after last night! It started when we valeted our car & were trying to get inside the building. A homeless guy who wasn’t in a good mental state started towards us, yelling something. So luckily one of the valet guys escorted us & told the guy to go away and luckily he did. On our Open Table reservation, we put that it was my 60th birthday so when we arrived, the host asked whose birthday it was & I said mine so he wished me a HB. And usually at fine dining places, the waiter/waitress will ask if this is a special occasion or are you celebrating something—especially since we were dressed up! But our waiter didn’t ask. Okay, no worries. Unfortunately since it had rained & was very chilly, the indoor/outdoor section was closed so it seemed like they crammed everyone into the main dining room. Luckily the food was delicious as always. Then the waiter asked if we wanted dessert & do we remember what they have since we’ve been there before. I said can we please see a menu. We got the Apple Spring Rolls—delicious! When it’s a special occasion they’ll write on the plate with chocolate sauce either HB or Happy Anniversary (like they did for the couple next to us). But when he brought the dessert, no message—& he just dropped it off so it was kinda awkward to then tell him it’s my birthday. He brings the check & we see the total with the suggested tip amounts. Then he brings us the electronic card reader but stands there while we’re trying to pay—we see the total amount to be charged was way over what the bill total was. So I ask him if this amount already includes the tip because it’s way more than the bill amount & he said “Oh yes, that amount includes the tip—oh you scared me!” (A strange comment.) What got us angry is that he automatically added a 20% tip (which I immediately readjusted!) Very disappointing!

Everything was excellent they made my wife’s birthday very special. The food was great as always and service from Seth was top notch. I appreciated the flexibility on the bill it made our big group worry less. The only challenging part was the cold but I DID request that part of the restaurant. And you can’t control weather.
