Locally sourced and seasonally inspired, Tavern on Kruse changes menus every 12 weeks as we weave the season's perfectly-fresh and perfectly ripe bounty into our offerings. Our executive chef, Nathan Bates, spent four and half years at the Michelin 3-Star "Fifth Floor" in San Francisco. Our space is elegant, but our staff is friendly and jovial as we see "people" as the reason for dining. We look forward to meeting you.

We now have a private dining facility called Tavern Annex with screens, projectors it's own bar and seating for up to 40. http://www.tavernonkruse.com/tavern-annex The indoor capacity of Tavern is 118; 144 if we remove seating to create a dance floor. We have another 90 seats outdoors split between two patios which can be rented separately or in conjunction with indoor space, bringing our total event capacity to 200. My wife and I go regularly to Kruse Tavern. Order osso buco, was inadequately prepared. I expressed to our server. She was polite, professional and went to pursue another meal. She was pleasant and brought another glass of wine complimentary. The second time the osso buco came, it was better, but I was pretty hungry. So I did eat some, but left most. I was very impressed with the service. Yes, it was a bummer, but life happens. I liked the way the server handled the situation.

Tavern on Kruse has such a great menu with a diverse collection of dishes that I am always sure to find something that I will love. But the Ahi Tuna Burger is the only thing that I have ever ordered. It is absolutely delicious, and the crispy avocado is a special surprise added to it. I hope that they never take this off the menu.

TOO MUCH NOISE. The facility needs an acoustical expert.

Hi Linda. You're right, Tavern is a noisy restaurant. Three of our four walls are 25' glass. We have over 50 acoustical noise-reduction panels on the ceiling and still, what you hear is what you get. I'm not trying to disappoint you, but "what you hear is what you get" is just the way it is. Sorry you found it uncomfortable. KL

Kind of bummed, place has good environment but the service and lack of quality with food did not match pricing or the expectations set online. It was our 10 year anniversary, which we called out, but it was not even mentioned and the experience was pretty meh overall. Not the worst, but would not go again.

The acoustics of the restaurant were out of control. One had to shout to have a conversation! The sounds were not "energetic": it was highly annoying. Obviously the owner needs to understand that high volume is not a selling point, especially at brunch! I loved the food!!! The service was good! Thank you for doing what you can to reduce the loudness in the restaurant so I can return in the future.

Hi Linda. I'm glad you enjoyed the food and the service. There are actually 50+ sound-absorbing panels on the ceiling. Unfortunately, three out of four walls are 25' high windows that just bounce sound around. We can't carpet the floors for obvious reasons, so our only opportunity for sound absorption was the ceiling. I want you to know that I don't consider high-volume a selling point, it's just a "symptom" of good food and service when dining in a glass room. KL

What more can be said about this place…. it’s one of our go to places for great food and service. Menu offers a variety of options and all are great. Service is top notch.
