   We went for my mother's birthday for lunch. They sat us in about 5 minutes at a great table. We had a server come over almost immediately. We split two specials; crab cake sandwich and a cheese steak sandwich. Both were excellent. We also got drinks that were equally as wonderful. Overall we had a very nice lunch. Highly recommend, especially after a bike ride!

   Our server was amazing with helping with food choices. Nothing left on any of the plates. Gift shop has some extremely cute items.

   The service and food was amazing. The seating was not ideal, as I made reservations but was seated in the bar area instead of the main dining room. I hope next time we’ll be able to get the full experience, as this was our first time at this restaurant.

   Don’t remember our waiters name, but he was unattentive. Needed to ask him for drinks to many times, when you pay $400 for a meal this shouldn’t happen. Food and portions were excellent service below average.

   Service was ok , and I felt rushed. One member of our group asked to have sides substituted for ones that came with a less expensive entree, and they refused. It was very loud and hard to have a conversation with people at my own table.This is my 3rd time dining her while in NYC and likely would not return.

   Tavern on The Green is certainly a New York icon but I wonder if it is resting a bit heavily on its laurels and its location. The potato cakes looked like they were made several days ago and lacked flavor. Same for the chicken paillard. My husband enjoyed his breakfast pizza but I found that it was an unsophisticated mess, again with little flavor. I did not expect much. I knew that the reason to come to TOTG is for the history, the pedigree. But still, I have to say I was disappointed

   Brunch wasn’t good, biscuits and gravy was cold and biscuits was hard as a rock. Then the eggs Benedict same the English muffins hard as a rock and the sauce tasted like pure butter. It wasn’t worth the money at all.

    The food and service was amazing, as it always is. We come from Minnesota and it is a consistent highlight. The French toast, eggs Benedict, and biscuits and gravy were wonderful today!
