Ten is a modern Japanese tapas style restaurant, centrally located on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall.

Since 2006, Ten has served a variety of both traditional and original cuisine.

Chef Pei Jen Chang sources ingredients from the finest local, regional, and international sea and farm purveyors, and strives to offer fare that will appeal to the gamut of culinary palates.

Our bar menu boasts an extensive wine list, an assortment of imported and local craft beers, as well as one of the largest collections of sake in Virginia. In addition, we offer a unique selection of libations, such as hand-crafted Asian inspired cocktails, assembled using inventive, authentic ingredients, or a 'Sake Flight', which allows for the subtle, intricate flavors of three selected varietals to be experienced.

The meaning of the Japanese word 'Ten' is 'heaven' or 'celebration', and our highest goal is to create an elevated, adventurous, and intimate dining experie

Ten is located on the pedestrian mall in Downtown Charlottesville. Convenient parking is available in the Water Street Parking Garage and in an open-air hourly lot, both at the intersection of 2nd St. SE and Water Street. We validate parking for the Water Street Garage. An additional metered lot can be found two blocks west of the Water Street Garage, free after 6:00 PM.

Great fresh sushi. Nice wine by the glass selection. We sat in Back section with tables very close together and it was extremely noisy. Hard to hear each other talk across the table. Our server was great. Overall it would be five star if it wasn’t for the noise and the crowding of the back room.

My wife and I had another delightful dinner at TEN. The service, food and ambiance have been consistently excellent over the years we have been coming here. Can't wait for our next visit.

Wonderful service and the best sushi in town. Jennifer was our server and she was professional, helpful and very attentive. Great experience. We will only come to Ten for sushi from now on. Thank you.

Food was great, service was not so great. The waitress was condescending and gave us attitude. She borderline fat shamed us when we decided to order two more rolls.

We have eaten here before and have always been pleased. Unfortunately, the tiger shrimp tempura were soggy when they arrived. It seemed like they’d been sitting around a while before being served. It was a Friday night so maybe chalk it up to them being busy but still, tempura shouldn’t be soggy upon arrival. The sushi and sashimi were delicious as usual.
