Two years ago to the month, we dined here and were delighted. The food and preparation were top-notch. This year, not so much.
I fear the bean-counters have arrived. The food was less than good. the cuts of meat were not quite AAA, the vegetables not as fresh, and the preparation was subpar. for instance, two years ago the fried rice was, well, fried rice done at the grill at the table. Now it is mostly steamed in the back kitchen then delivered. Not nearly the same.
It's hard to put a finger on all the details, but suffice to say, the experience was cheaper this time than last. So disappointing a this was (repeat, was) a great place and a fair deal two years ago, but it is not now. Just mediocre.
The steps to cut costs and reduce the experience are sure signs of a restaurant on its way down the drain. I hope they are paying attention to these details. Quality matters, raise the prices if you must, but don't wallow into the mire of mediocrity for that way surely lies your ultimate demise.
Teppan Village Japanese Steakhouse已在3天前回覆Thank you for your feedback, Peter. We’re sorry your experience didn’t meet your expectations. I’d like to address a few inaccuracies however. The quality of meat and vegetables have remained unchanged from our trusted suppliers, with deliveries every other day due to our limited cooler space. Portions and freshness have remained the same for 36 years, so very surprised by your comments. Additionally, we’ve never offered our fried rice table-side, it’s always been prepared in the kitchen to accommodate varying guest allergies, as noted on our menu. We wish you had raised your concerns during your visit so we could have addressed them immediately. While we respect your review, constructive dialogue would have been more helpful. We hope to provide you with a better experience in the future.
