Small to medium size restaurant with views art work and good food. Very pleasant staff with great attitudes. A must go if at the 4 seasons and a nice place off the beaten paths if living in or visiting Santa Fe area

I was disappointed with my dining experience today, which surprised me given my prior experience there. Here's the problem - I made the reservation for the dining room on openTable 2-3 weeks ago. When we got there we were shown to a 4 top table in the bar. When I went back to the hostess to ask why we weren't being seated in the dining room (there was only one table seated in the dining room when we got there), the hostess said we couldn't be seated there because they didn't have the staff to staff the dining room. I should mention all wait staff were in the bar area at the time, and there were 2 patrons at the bar. So..... why was I able to reserve dining room seating only to be denied that when we arrived? Our dining companions said bar was okay, but then the noise from the bar patrons became an issue and we struggled to hear each other. The waiter was kind enough to offer us dining room seating after he had witnessed me approach the hostess and our party of 4 debate whether this was going to work for us. We took him up on the offer and were re-seated in the dining room right by the fireplace with a view of the mountains out the window - exactly the ambiance we were looking for and expecting. To be perfectly frank, it struck me as a blatant bait and switch to make the staff's jobs easier by herding all the customers into the smaller bar space where the staff were more comfortable hanging out. Not cool, and certainly not what I would expect from a Four Seasons property. To be clear, the bar ambiance and the dining room ambiance are quite different as you'd expect they would be - not the same experience. I was just really disappointed - Terra had become a go-to restaurant we brought friends and family to when we wanted to show them fine dining in Santa Fe. I have no idea if this happening was management supported, or something that was implemented by the staff to make the afternoon flow easier. If management supported, just another level of disappointment.

We ordered the fried chicken dinner early and though the powers that be were accommodating, it did not turn out well. They made it up to us. We are trying it again for dinner soon. This is a stellar restaurant with an amazing ambiance!

We had the most delicious brunch. Everything was just right starting with the bread basket and mimosas. The entrees were mouth-wateringly good and beautifully presented. The desserts were delightful. We shared a pot of coffee that I just couldn’t get enough of. The staff, as always, are so gracious and efficient. The Four Seasons property is beautifully maintained with gorgeous views all around. I can’t think of a restaurant in New Mexico I would rather go to.

My husband and I were there for our anniversary. The food and drinks are spectacular! And the ambience lovely. But the staff makes everything special. The professionalism, knowledge and kindness made our evening truly memorable. And a special shout-out to Amber. Thank you so much for making our anniversary so wonderful! .

Setting and view is beautiful but their service was terrible. If you like eating a Porterhouse steak and sides with a butter knife and 4 inch bread plate, with no visit from the waiter for over 30 minutes after food came out.
