The Bauer Kitchen is an energetic up-market 'bistro' set in a SoHo inspired, restored felt factory.

Chef Katherine Therriault & Chef Riley Smith have assembled a spectacular menu of classic items prepared with the freshest local ingredients. An extensive ‘wine by the glass’ menu has been created by our sommelier to pair perfectly with each menu item.

My daughter has a food allergy and they were extremely careful and in fact asked snout it before we brought it up. This made the evening more enjoyable as we did not have to worry about her. Also each of our orders was excellent. In ordered a rare steak and they got it right. As a former restaurant cook I know what rare should look like and often doesn’t, this was perfect.

We went for brunch and everything was perfect, the food was delicious and the drinks were excellent. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something a little nicer. Everything came out quick and our service was very attentive and friendly.

We LOVE coming for our annual Christmas family brunch. Your team is amazing and always so welcoming and happy. Kenzie has been our server multiple years. She is delightful.

Bauer Kitchen is our favorite date night out in Waterloo! Highly recommend checking it out!!! Their food is consistently great, and service equally awesome! We had the Chicken Rigatoni, and Fried Chicken sandwich with fries and house made ketchup. There was a very minor hiccup with the pasta dish not being very hot so we asked if could be heated up. They happily made a new dish quickly which was excellent! They also give us an added boxed treat when we left for any inconvenience, the most delicious butter tarts you'll ever have! This was honestly unnecessary as was so minor, but is super nice and the type of thing Bauer does as they really care and want you to enjoy everything! Kudos to Bauer staff and friendly long-time Management it was great to see you!:-)

Another great night at The Bauer Kitchen. Really enjoyed our pizzas and Christmas drinks. One of the best aspects is that plant-based people have lots of options (breaded chick'n burger and fries also gets rave reviews). Service is always excellent and I think we had Kennedy last night (?).

Excellent food, surprised by the expansive gluten-free menu; timely, cheerful & attentive service! Cocktails to digestifs and desserts were lovely components of a great meal. Will definitely be back!
