The Bauer Kitchen is an energetic up-market 'bistro' set in a SoHo inspired, restored felt factory.

Chef Katherine Therriault & Chef Riley Smith have assembled a spectacular menu of classic items prepared with the freshest local ingredients. An extensive ‘wine by the glass’ menu has been created by our sommelier to pair perfectly with each menu item.

Our dining experience was excellent. The server, Jonathan, was attentive without being obtrusive. The ambiance is perfect for our girl’s night out.

Our first experience at the Bauer Kitchen was outstanding. They present an excellent selection of options on the menu and a wine list with reasonably priced options. Service was prompt and friendly. The noise level was a bit higher than we would typically like, but it didn’t prevent conversation. We were also informed that the other side of the restaurant (northwest) was a bit quieter if we found the noise level too much. Also a good beer selection on tap. My new favourite place in Waterloo.

We have been to Bauer multiple times over the years and this is one of the most disappointing brunches we've experienced. My spouse ordered the chicken and gouda omelets an what she got looked more like a puny crepe with barely any chicken nor gouda. She was so hungry she made herself an egg and mushrooms mash when we got home. My eggs Benedict were very runny even after ordering "medium". Olivia's service was good. Overall a disappointing experience

We arrived early, only waited a short time for our table to be ready. Coffee is fantastic! Food was pretty tasty too :)
